Will we see sligs liveing naturally?

Just a thaught but are we going to see sligs liveing in the wild like native Mudokins? We are supose to see a new light on the sligs. Maybe somewhere on Mudos sligs are liveing the simple life? But only very few are doing so. And that few who are native like, is a vanishing breed at best. Because the Magog needs recrutements.

That would be cool to see sligs liveing in the wild in the ways they used to live before the Magog took over. It would be wierd too because they wouldn't have masks or guns or mechanical pants. They would just be crawling sligs. We could see what kind of liveing quarters they used to live in. And see the way they acted before they became sadistic and industrial. Now I know we could see something like that in the Habitales but I would want to see the last remaning natural liveings sligs in the quintology.

I would hope we do, but the main reason i was excited about MO was because i believed that you would be able to kidnap the Slig larvae from the Slig nursery and take them to the wild to live happily, now i am older i realise that such game involvement isn't possible and thus you probably wont even be able to come into contact with such ickle things...

M.O.M 11-15-2002 04:59 PM

that would be great

Xavier 11-15-2002 05:29 PM

ahum... since skillya works for the magog, I doubt we will see savage sligs...

be logic

Oddsville 11-15-2002 06:40 PM

Well let us not forget Xav that thier are probably many more Slig queens out their that just haven't been corrupted by the Magog Cartel and various other corporations, that or they are so primitive that they have no clue what the outside world is really like (kinda like some abarigani tribes that still live in various parts of Africa, Brazil, etc. today.).

paramiteabe 11-15-2002 06:46 PM

Very true Xavier very true indeed. That is why I said a vanishing breed. Maybe there could of been a small group of sligs who became rebelous towards the Magog and took off into the wilderness to live the simple life. Since it is not known yet we can't assume that all sligs are followers of their sadistic queen.

There are a lot things we still don't know about Oddworld and it's inhabitants so I am keeping an open mind on this. If not then so be it.

Jacob 11-15-2002 09:28 PM

I dont think they would have rebelled per sae, but been beaten and slipped through the 'net' possibly. Such as the Albino Slig attempting to escape some others may have tried to escape...and got out...and...just...like roam around...roaming...etc. Abe will hopefully meet one, like he did Munch and have to help it.

Xavier 11-16-2002 05:21 AM

hmmm... paramiteabe, it seems to be a good idea, and it would be intresting to see that in a next game.

but I dunno, I have the feeling it doesn't fit in the Oddworld story

M.O.M 11-16-2002 07:05 AM

I think it does but thats my opion

paramiteabe 11-16-2002 12:55 PM

Well heres a thought since in the original idea for Munch you were supose to save and nurture animals and maybe other Muds back to health. What if say there were sligs that were brutally beaten because they were lazy by eather Skillia or other sligs who thought they were useless to society, and now have nowhere to go accept crawl into a cornor and die. Abe and Munch find them and they offer a truce and help the sligs get better. As a resalt the relationships between the Mudokins and the sligs starts to change very slowly and when I say slowly I mean extremely. Where now these few sligs that were helped by the very slaves they enslaved were helping them out. They realise that what they did was wrong. Their eyes are open and they see the cruelty that is going on. Like the Mudokins the sligs realise that what they are doing has been enforced onto them and the true enamy are the Glukkons. And as a resalt slowly but surely sligs begin to split apart where some still follow the old ways and others join in on the Mudokins movement. It would be a long task indeed.

This relates to the idea of how we are going to see industrial races slowly make their changes in lifestyle. Where as the Glukkons will be the slowest.

Jacob 11-16-2002 02:23 PM

Side note: Glukkons aren't the bad guys, the Mudokons and other terrorists are...

In one of the games you will proberly see the shadow of Skillya during the end. I doubt they will show her to you straight away. Kinda like;

A Slig screws up and allows all the Mudokons and Fuzzles and other things to escape, later on it comes to light that the Slig was sleeping on the job and thus is sent down to Skillya, anyway, the camera is focused on the Sligs face as he backs closer and closer to a wall, begging for mercy and trying to excuse his behavior. Skillya is making snide remarks and bashing him down verbally, slowly you start to see a large shadow from the bottom of the screen as Skillya moves forward you then see a long claw shoot out from above the screen and grasp the Sligs head, pulling him out of shot. You then hear his screams and an evil chuckle.

M.O.M 11-16-2002 03:27 PM

coooooooool!!!!!!!! cant wait to see that

sounds good...
fan of horror films?

paramiteabe 11-16-2002 07:17 PM

Yea that does sound better. Now that you mention it we should just stay with the original idea.:fuzblink:

mudflub2 11-16-2002 09:21 PM

That sounds like skillya...................man, she can be really evil.

BigBro 11-17-2002 12:24 AM

I was thinking of something more like...

It was dark in the pens. There was a faint smell of mildew in the air as Abe, careful not to wake the quietly sleeping Slig, snuck by into a shadow. He looks ahead, silently gestures behind him, and out come 9 Mudokon scrubs from whence he descended. He watches them all go past and whispers to the last one, "Wheres Joey?". He shugs, "He was right behind me." "Ok, tell everyone to wait here, Ill have to go look." He goes past the Slig again, trying his best not to wake him. As he passes, the Slig jolts and mumbles, "I wanna ride the pony..."......A little confused, Abe continues sneaking. He spots Joey idly standing and staring at something with his mouth wide open, drool dripping from from it. As he gets closer he realises hes staring at a light. "Joey! Common!" ".........Looket da purdy lyt, Abe." "No, we gotta move..now!" He finally gets him to move and they head back towards the others. Past the Slig again. Except this time, Joey trips and lands on the Slig. Abes heart jumps up into his throat as he hears the crash, and slowly turns to see Joey goofily laughing at the still sleeping Slig. He pickes him up and runs towards the others. They escape, and the Slig wakes to alarms. He looks around cluelessly as a few BigBros walk up to him, pick him up, and drag him into a large, round room. He looks around, dazed and confused, then looks up to see a large, forbidding, shadowy figure hovering above him. Fear starts to set in as he hears a low, mancaing growl. His heart stops as he realises its his mother. He desperately scampers back into the corner as her large shadow slowly descends upon him. The screen pushes into a close up on his face as the shadow engulfs him further, and further. The screen finally closes in on his quivering eye as the shadow finally covers him, and the screen goes black..... Skillya lets out a short, ominous laugh....

Something like that, but thats just me.

M.O.M 11-17-2002 08:12 AM

a mistake in that

:

BigBros walk up to him, pick him up, and drag him into a large, round room
okay but:

:

He desperately scampers back into the corner
Round rooms dont have corners

BigBro 11-21-2002 09:04 AM

Ok, the room is round and large, and Skillya is in the large round bit coz shes huge. And where the Slig is "scampering" is like some kind of balcony or section that is connected to the room. Use your imagination... :p

M.O.M 11-21-2002 09:12 AM

ok then

BigBro 11-21-2002 09:47 PM

Does that sound more credible?

M.O.M 11-22-2002 06:12 AM

Yes it does:p

BigBro 11-23-2002 09:48 PM

:p Ok den. Any thought, anyone?

M.O.M 11-25-2002 01:39 PM

good idea

BigBro 11-28-2002 05:17 AM

Ive noticed that for the last nearly 10 posts, me and you are the only ones who are posting in here. Do I smell a conspiracy??
