MO is the 8th ???.
I cannot be convinced about the result.
Nobody can understand a very creative thing.
Or there are few people who can understand a very creative thing.....

I read in the Australian XBOX magasine that Munch is much lower here. Something like 20 (I will check it again and post soon for the exact number). They didn't do very good PR here.

Then again the magasine doesn't really respect the game very much. They gave it a fairly high score (8.3 I think) but the always get details wrong. In the debut magasine that came out a month before XBOX was released they wrote big articles describing the launch titles. Munch was described as a fish! Yeah, one of those walking fish that get around on wheelchairs, I got a couple of them in my backyard. And then a few editions later they were giving hints on every level and they continually refered to Interns as Vykkers. Do your research.

I am sorry for that lengthy rant, but god, I feel better now!

Halo and DOA3 are at the top, yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MO was made for a large public... they reached the objectif: being sold

What people don't understand they usually choose to condemn. It's what most of my friends are like at school, they hate it before they've played it, and because it was originally in 2D.

Im sure it will, OWI seems to be pretty confidant in it. Personally I love the old 2D, although I prefer 3D anyday Oddworld just seem to do the 2D right...:fuzsmile:

Oddworld in 2D is great and OWI seems to do a good job in 2D and as for 3D that makes things just interesting for Oddworld. What we saw in 2D is now being transfered to 3D with MO as we know. With Oddworld being in 3D it just opens new doors and new possiabilties of gameing. It will be interesting to post a thread like this and to see where OW4 stands when it does come out. I have no doubt in my mind that the game will be a best seller and #1 on the list. OWI seems to be really confidant in it. I mean they describe it as a home cooked meal being slowly cooked and based to perfection and not one of those cheap frozen dinners you get at the local frozen food grocer as said on the official site.

It is super cool that out of around 100 games MO came in at #8!:) :)

I love OW in 2D. I like it just as good in 3D too. I think they are both equally good.

Games should not be judged by the technology they posses, but by how they utilize that technology. I believe old Pong was a great game. Compare it to today's standards and it sucks! But back then, it was a decent work, and the makers worked hard to make it even as good as it was. They deserve credit for that.

OW in 2D was absolutely amazing. Regardless of modern competition, the sheer artistry of those games will never, ever die. There is an essense of the human spirit there that does not fade with time.

OW in 3D is just a new look for a beautiful story. When you think about it, OW would be cool even in 0D! It is cool just when you talk about it, its story is so good. You don't need fancy graphics to tell you it's a good game.
