Wall climbing
Yo man on the second video on AE where they climb that fenc that sais necrum berial grounds under construction how do they climb it do they have suction pads on their hands? :rolleyes:

I'm not sure, from the pictures I've seen, Mudokon hands don't have suction caps on them. In the "Passport to Oddworld" video it shows Abe climbing up the side of a cliff, but I can't see it well because my monitor's brightness is turned down (my room is not a tanning salon).

I think they can climp because they have so big hands with little claws and you can see in the video in AE the Mudokons first jump to the wall, then they hold tight and climp.

Ya know, I was wondering the same thing the other day. I just assumed that the fence had so many places to grab ahold of since is was pretty beat-up that they climbed that way. :confused:

i never thought there was any foul play there, i just assumed they cilbed the same way we do. we don't have suction cups on our hands, do we?

i dont think sligs can climb because they have little orbs at the end of their pants that act as feet. even if they could climb id be scared :eek:. another thing im glad they cant do is go in wells and doors :eek: .

Anyway, if you look back at the beginning of the Abe's Exoddus opening FMV we see the Mudokons climbing the wall to get into Necrum Mines... so it's not really anything new to Oddworld. My theory always has been that they have hands that are able to grip more easily. In the same way that Abe can also hoist himself up on a ledge with no problems. In Munch's Oddysee however, it seems like these abilities for climbing walls are only given to Abe when he uses the Climb power up. Abe Babe... |
I think Mudokons climb walls the same way as cats clib trees. Using thier claws.
