Raisins Cave
 

Well, after searching long through some images i've got I came across this one:



Look at the things on the walls, I haven't been able to make any out, but i'm still trying. It's quite intriging, maybe they are only scribbles by the creator of the image, but im hoping that maybe Oddworld's history is in it...

Or maybe i'm over reacting! :D

Hmmmm, it seems very possible that there might be hints of oddworlds history on the wall, but that particular picture is too blurry. BTW, I've never seen that picture before, very cool!

Hmm, you must be unable to see ported server side files, unfortunately there is no way I can fix that as oddworld universe is on the 81 side of the server. You may have a firewall that blocks them out.

There are a lot of images you haven't seen that i've currently got on my hard drive :fuzgrin: Hehe :fuzsmile: I've got quite a few rare ones as well, if you ask I might be able to deliver.

Oh, hehe, I can't post them all up, or too many, i'm saving them for the next version of Oddworld Universe.

Also, the image on the right hand side near the top past the right pillar there is a round object, that I think could be a sun, moon, or even a meteor (but I doubt that).

Thats an awesome pic Alcar. I am cerous what in the world are those green things that look sort of like jelly fish or mushrooms? You see a few of those things in the opening movie of MO sitting on the pillars. At first I thought they were the early version of the hum shrub or spooce shrub but then I notice they look like glowing rocks. In this picture some of those glowing things look like they are floating around in the chamber. I think they are some kind of life form. What are they?

My guess is that the Cave paintings in the background represent the daily lives of whoever painted them...which... would count as history in a way. Besides that Im also sure that some of the paintings represent major historical events that happened in Oddworld's past.

going back to the rasins cave maybe the scribbles are spiritual chants that the muds learn!

I go away a few days and my whole reputation is gone...the pic of the mud in the forest is from Hand Of Odd
and the othere one is a mix maded by IGN

Well that forest/Jungle that we see in Alcars earlier pic was origanally ment to be a scene from the opening movie to Hand Of Odd, Im still not sure weather they are still using it as that though?

You know, through my lack of Oddworld knowledge I'm straying off topic, but the cave seems alot like an old, hollowed out area from dead roots. I mean, if the Raisin was a tree before, who says that he currently just hasn't gone back to a seed only to grow again later. Actualy, although this is probably disproved somewhere, the Raisin probably just slowly goes back to a dormant state where he proceeds to regrow again and again, creating an eternal race of godlike beings on Oddworld.

The designs? Probably just to represent things. I doubt its history, you couldn't fit a timeline with symbols that big and so few inside there...
