Bogs
Hiya :)
I was wondering... have any of you heard of Bogs or little diary thingys that some people publish on the net? What do you think about them? I think they're a complete waste of time... and very annoying to come across! I mean, who would want to read about someones life on the internet...? No offence to anyone who has one... ~Miss Odd Serenity |
what???? i never heard of these so called bogs till now...............they are storys about some one life?????interesting.....................

*looks up the word bog in the rexious Dctionary*
Bog: A toilet. Bog: A marsh. Bog: Bog off bog roll! and so on! |
Hmmm...I dunno. Some are intresting enough.
Anywayz, I always thought Bog meant toilet..strange local slang. |
I have a friend who runs one of those sites, and I see nothing wrong with it.
|
I hadn't heard of it until the other day when I was searching for Marmalade Boy.. :)
There's nothing wrong with Bogs, its just that I think if you have nothing better to do with your time than write a diary online... then there's something wrong with u!!!. ~Miss Odd Serenity |
Blog, not bog!! I thought you had started a topic about loos! It's short for Weblog.
I have one, but the entries are all either private or friends only. I just use it instead of a paper diary - my typing speed exceeds my writing speed by, uh, quite a lot. O_o Go to www.livejournal.com if you're interested. :) |
I only come across one once, and found it quite uninteresting. I think if you were someone to do that kind of thing, then the way Oddness does it would be how it should be done. As lots of people keep diaries, etc, but if you restrict them to private or to friends who know you then that's okay. But to have your life story being told to the world, that's a bit ... well lame.
I'm sure Jacob would be one of those people to agree with you Miss Odd in saying that people who do such have something wrong with them! As we all know Jacob's view on those with "no life". Abe Babe... |
Well considering that a Bog is something interesting to me, I found the first part of this topic very amusing.
But if you want to put an online Diary up on the Internet it's up to you. But I wouldn't call it a Diary; I would call it more of a journal. Because no one would go into totally personal details. And if you think it's a stupid idea, then I've got an easy option for you, just don't read it. Some people might but interested in. It's like those people who complain about a Radio show or TV show. What's the use of complaining about it when it's easier to turn it off. |
