The big clean out

Hello everyone. Have you ever cleaned your room or house or whatever and found cool stuff that you forgot you had. I was cleaning my room the other day and found some books that I had forgot that I owned and I also found some money. Where I work they were cleaning stuff out and they found some software and stuff that they thought they had lost.

At times yes...but I do not always, fine things. I guess I put everything where it belongs.....and yet I get told my room is a mess. Hey I get around just fine in there

Heh. I seem to always find money in my room when I clean out. My parents joke that I should let them clean and they can have the profits. Usually it's notes and once I found almost $100 all up. Just recently when cleaning out my cupboard I found a US $50 note which would be worth almost $100 Australian alone!

I recently have been doing a large clean out of my room and am getting rid of a lot of unwanted things. At last count there were 3 garbage bags, 1 medium sized box and a huge monitor box worth of unwanted things. And that's not including all of the old school books and things that I threw out! I tend to hoard things at times so a clean out was really in order!!!

I think I need to have a cleanout soon because I can't find places to put stuff. It is like I have all this stuff but now I am running out of room to put it someplace. I have my own drawing table with all my art supplys scattered about. I have all kinds of books and magazines that are lying underneath a shelf that I need to sort and organize. Mann and crumbled paper is only the beginning. My room is cleaned it just needs to organized and I can't do that until I find something to put this stuff in. I think I will go up to the store get myself a box or boxes and just redo my room.

I love having a tidy room, so I often find myself trying to tidy it. I don't recall ever really finding something I thought was lost or never knew I had, but it always surprises me how much i enjoy looking at all my early schoolwork and old artwork and poems and stuff.

Abe Babe, there are two things that concern me.
  • Your room must be absolutely huge.
  • People must confuse your room for a bank.

one time i cleaned my room and found out that i have a pet dog...........it was too late...........i also found a cd that i have been lookin for, for ever..............

sligster 10-10-2002 08:56 PM

I once found a 5 week old apple core...... and around it, I found my pet mealworms.

ZombieX 10-10-2002 09:03 PM

Oh, absolutely. When I look for something I never find it. When I look for something else I never find it, but I find the other thing. Weird, huh! :D

Yeah, much of my stuff was destroyed in a certain incident.

All my stuff from England is stuck at the dock now, the workers at Long Beach went on strike. Massive backlog. :( *groans*

The coolest thing I ever found in my room was...well, nothing really.

I don't often clean my room, and when I do, I'm too frustrated to really appreciate anything I find.

My room isn't really all that messy, because I'm rarely in there...unless I'm sleeping, or a lady friend is visiting.

Neither happen very often, ha.

I once found a half dead spider in my room. I'm not sure if it was half dead before I found it or if it was half dead because I was cleaning my room. Oh well.:stare:

When I moved house a year ago I found a whole lot of birthday cards dating back up to twelve years previous that I had never thrown out. I was always a hoarder so I had two huge drawers to clean out, not to mention various cupboards. All I can say is if you have a lot of crap, move house!

I don't understand the turm 'Clean out my room'. Hehe! My room is so messy, take you agazillion years to clean it out. Who likes cleaning???

Silversnow 10-11-2002 06:57 PM

I hate to clean out my room. It's so messy all the time. I mean, I have more important things to do like being online, sorting my socks in alphabetic order or do my homework...
Anyway, I once found an entire box of rings in my room. It was veeeeeery old. One of them was a rabbit:D

Embarassingly enough, I go through periods of 'everything needs to be clean'. During the holidays, for example, I took a toothbrush and some soapy water and cleaned my CPU.

ZombieX 10-12-2002 02:53 PM

Well Max, you're just like my step father. He's a stickler for tidiness.

Wil 10-12-2002 04:56 PM

No, don't say that. I don't want to think of myself as being a generation older than you.

Miss Odd 10-13-2002 02:45 AM

Hehehehe!!! Today I was looking for my Basketball T-Shirt, and I was cleaning my room... Eek!

I found lots of dirty socks, clothes... a mouldy vegimite sandwhich and...lots of other stuff which I can't remember :P

Bye,

~Miss Odd Serenity

hehe.. I was just sorting out his laser discs... he has every one MGM ever released and many of Universal's. And more.

He has enough DVD's to watch 5 per day for a year and have some left over.

He has 8 umbrellas... in California.

He has 30 baseball caps.

Need I go on? Oh, I love his soul.
