well, they are mediting, they are not communicing with other mudokons, maybe with spirits and stuff, but not with alive characters

I bet that whistling is an ancient form of Mudokon communication. Perhaps it didn't actually form a language, but was used for music, warnings, calling for lost Mudokons etc.

I can see why Muds like whistling, it's such a pleasant natural sound.

Ryu, your secret thingy says 'Ryu'

Like Max said was saying (kinda) the Muds whistelling is prehaps a natural urge or instinct from thier past. We know that Muds evolved from birds so it probably feels natural for the Muds to do this.

I agree with what everyone has said about the whistling. However there was one obvious one that seems to have been missed. The whistling also could be used as part of a code, to ensure only those that know how to communicate this way are able to pass.

Also, I doubt those Mudokons would have names, as we have seen that enslaved Mudokons give each other names, but I think that native Mudokons just seem to "know" who they are. Being a spiritual being they do not need the use of names.

the I-know-who-you-are-without-knowing-your-name thing fit perfectly...
this is a realy nice observation about the industrial/native Mudokons

The whistling must have been a code that the muds made up when they were inslaved so they could communicate with each other without the glukkons knowing what they were saying.

Xavier 10-05-2002 02:32 PM

you mean something like their native language... can be.
but the glukkons may instore a rule who ban whistling, and if a mud do it, then the sligs will shoot on him

ryu 10-05-2002 03:17 PM

yes but then what does that word sligs say in the gamespeak its called s,br or somtin but it sounds like kitron anione translate it
