Abe Babe's Banner Requests
 
As my old banner topic is now 11 pages long and started to get full of spam, I have decided to create a new one. Of course here are my rules again...


Banner Request Guidelines (revised: 3 October 2002)

I have decided to make a few guidelines for making banners. This is mainly due to the fact I can get quite busy at times, and secondly just to make it fair for everyone:
  • Minimum of 30 posts and/or have been a member for a month before I will consider a request (this is to ensure that the person is at least a semi-regular member)
  • Any member who requests a banner and has been breaking the rules (i.e. spamming), will not be made a banner until they follow the rules of the forum.
  • I am pretty busy... if I don't respond or take a while to make your banner, your request may be delayed if you keep asking me. It is common to wait weeks for a banner, so if you don't to wait this long, ask someone else.
  • Anyone who has requested a banner from anyone first will not be considered unless you let the other person know you don't want one from them anymore (this is to avoid us both making a banner).
  • Anyone who already has a banner that has been made by someone else may be declined, as it will be unfair to the person who has previously put work into a banner.
  • You should provide at least a basic descripton of what you want (images, text, colors, etc). If you want a banner of anything other than Oddworld or Final Fantasy you must provide me with the images or a link.
I may decide to change the above at any time, and everyone requesting, should check the guidelines first.


I am currently working on some that I had been requested by PM or email and I had said yes to already. If you did request in my previous topic and you still want a banner done, please ask again, as I noticed some requests by people who are no longer here, so I'm not doing any old requests.

Hello. I'm posting to request a banner. I would be very very grateful if you would make me one. If you would, I would like a paramite on it (half in shadow, if possible, but if thats to difficult I will understand :) ) and the backround to be black, or night like. Please could it also have a group of fuzzles (scared looking, if possible.) near the bottom. And please could it say Salty Pretzils in big red chunky letters (The font could be kinda like "impact" or "stencil" )

Salty Pretzils and rikkypop, your requests have been accepted. I'll see what I can come up with (please be patient though). For rikkypop, I assume because you're not concerned what is on the banner, something Oddworld (perhaps Vykkers like your previous avatar) will be fine.

Aniv_Ghost... I can also do PoLoX2's banner. Do you know what he wants on it?

There may be a problem of the royalty produced between OWF and OWI or copyright in it.
However, we think that we want to link (or use)the banner to our fan sites (as a menber of OWF).
Is it possible? .Or is it impossible? .
Please show a view fundamental to us.....

A shrykull and some Scrabania landscapes I think (Polox2 is a member of the oddworld maniac forum)

Everyone, please do not talk about irrelivant topics in my banner requests topic. If I see anymore of theseposts in here, the accepted requests will be cancelled. I am serious, as this was the whole reason I closed my previous topic.

And Aniv_Ghost... please take note of my rules. I do understand that your english is not too good, but if you complain about how long I am taking, then the requests will also be cancelled or delayed longer.

Sydney actually designed this banner and we provided it to OWI. It was from an earlier design of the forums. I have all of the images, etc for it in a PhotoShop format, so I can easily re-create this banner for you, but I do now know of Sydney's view as it is his design

Alright abe babe, heres my banner idea.

The back round of it is Scrabania. One the left side is a pic of a charging scrab, on the right is a picure of a shrykull. In the middle is that picture of the mudokon skeleton in the fetal position on the front of a yellow gear.(I believe this was on the cover of Exxodus) And on the bottom acroos under the gear the words,
"Viva La Oddworld!

Seriously now this is a topic that does not take spam, all you are supposed to do here is request a banner and wait until Abe Babe finishes it, so be patient. The more you demand to have you're banner the more you won't get it. Abe Babe is very busy, and she is doing this for people out of her own time. So please cut the spam, and wait patiently for you're banners.

I've actually gone and cleaned up this topic as there is way too much spamming in it. Any spam or irrelevant posts have been deleted. I don't know why banner request topics attract spam when I clearly stated that was a problem right at the beginning.

Also, please use English on Oddworld Forums. I understand it is hard as your native language is French. But when Xavier first joined the forums, he had problems with English too, but he always typed in English. Maybe a translator site would help - http://babelfish.altavista.com.

Okay, now as a result of all that has happened.

I'm currently holding off on doing banner requests all together. Just a lot going on in my life at the moment. If I get a chance I'll do the ones that I have approved (if the members are still around that is). Otherwise I'm not taking any new requests at the moment. I'm sorry about this, but if you want to ask someone else to do them for you, then that will be okay.

I will be doing them again in the future, but I just do not know when this will be. I do like to provide this service for deserving fans and forum members.

ABE BABE......

Ive see in othere threads that you have to have 20 posts minimum to request a banner.

When i get to 20 posts, can i put my own banner on, or do i have to have someone else make it for me?

sorry if this has been answered but Ive tried to see if anything relates to this question and ive not seen anything.

You can use your own banner as long as its <= 400x125 pixels.
