I remember a topic a while ago where people said that a certain image was a early image of a meetle, because it said down the bottom of the image.

Well, i've been looking over Women Gamers, and was looking very closely at the images their. And I noticed that the same image also, had underneith it a label that looks very like that of "Chroniclers". Meetles, 1%ers and Chroniclers. Am I mistaken or are there two different creatures there, that look the same, but you can tell them apart from the legs?

Actually the wording at the bottom of the page that Peter posted looks more like "Character" or "Characters" to me.
Although Xavier's image clearly shows 1%ers. I saw this 1%ers on my first visit to Oddworld. I honestly was not told anything about them, and if I did I signed an agreement not allowing me to say anything. It is not until now I see this image that I even mention I have heard that name in the past. But I am wondering why all of these gaming companies are allowed to take photos and publish all of this so called information that I was told was not meant to be publicly released (I've seen other such things on links and other images Xavier has found). I'm guessing there's always a time for something to become released. Abe Babe... |

For some reason that other "thing" next to the "meetle/1%ers" reminds me of the Necrum Guardian, or something similar to a walrus with long tusks. You right Xavier, yeah it is a Kinto next to them! If we didn't know what they were already then we'd have you to thank for many more possibilities and threads about them! :) I often wondered why all these images came out from companies, and not OWI. wait thats a slig queen a skykilla right then whats a kinta? anione kno ya see i got a mag once and some creatures of oddworld were in it and it showed a skykilla and had a name kinta but it had no pic of it can anione get a pic of it?

Oh yeah. When I looked at the Flying 1%er earlier I though I recognised a B. Not close enough, I suppose. But looking at it, I can see that it's one 'leg' is actually its tail.
Thought: What if that ain't a 1, it's an I? The % could be used to block the name they've given this thing. |

I think they are using the term "1%" to say that they dont have a name for that paticular creature yet. Personally, I think that creature is its own specific species, and it's going to be a kind of bottom class/criminal type in the cities of Oddworld.

I noticed an 'F' at the begginning of the other label, and immediately though 'Flying' but I didn't think it would be a flying 1%er.

My guess is that 1% is just a term used to describe a creature in early developement or something. Someone should ask Alf.

I dont know why, but I get the distinct feeling that the creature Alcar first posted (mistaken for a Meetle) looks like some sort of criminal as that jacket makes it look kinda like a biker. So maybe they are a gang-type species who ride around on fast machines of some kind, coz he looks kinda evil too. *shrugs*

You mean a Hit-Man?? Its possible. But (if they get used), I guess we will find out in due time. I still say they look biker-ish:p. But maybe they are bikers and hired killers, maybe not specifically for the Industrials, but more free-roaming than being tied to a specific group.
