Look at that detail... tee-hee! I'm just picturing MC driving around in that little 4-wheeler....

I like how MC looks a bit damaged from the last game, like theres a bit of paint peeling and stuff.

I can't wait to get into the seat of one of those ATVs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But what happened to the guns on the back of the warthogs?

These pictures are a huge improvement from the original game. Hell, it might even give Doom 3 a run for it's money...

All those PS2 and GCN fanboys who said XBOX's graphics are not such a big improvement over theirs must be hiding under their beds in fear now. Halo 2 is going to blow their minds! I can't wait to see some outdoor levels.

I read something about "modules" for the warthog, you can add thing like a normal firegun, a bazooka (like in the first version of Halo1) and maybe even you can transports extra people with...

Halo 2 is still early in development, it must not be done yet. Xavier might be right though.

I just got the new issue of OXM and they have a whole feature on Halo 2. They have a bunch of pics and an interview with Steve Fowler who is Halo's producer at Microsoft. The name of that new gun is the battle rifle. I just thought it was interesting. It also says that MC uses fewer polygons than in the original game.

Some Questions about the mag...

What is on the cover of the new OXM? Are there any new Halo 2 pics? How many pages are devoted to Halo 2?

The cover has a yellow mustang (Project Gotham Racing 2) on it and it says 1 year anniversary at the top. 2 pages are for halo 2 and they have five pictures that xavier didnt post. MC looks awesome when in the right light, really old metallic look.

That cover is cooler than what I have, why must the US be mundane in everything it does.

Halo 2 is gonna just plain rock. After seeing both trailers for Doom 3 and Halo 2, I have come to the conclusion that Halo 2 will probably be better. The difference in graphics isn't much, both having breathtaking visuals, but you have to remember one thing... Doom 3 is succesfully creating a scary atmosphere with totally black shadows and dramatic lighting effects, whereas Halo 2 is just... different. It will have beutiful outdoors (that I cannot see Doom 3 having), lots of space seeming atmosphere but no doubt some scary atmosphere too (like on "The Truth and Reconsiliation" on the original halo and many other tense and jumpy moments whilst battling through the metallic complexes).

I have to say that Doom 3 had something that i appreciated very musch that Doom 3 didn't appear to have... (could be wrong) and that is lense focusing. Well, I don't know what its actually called, but its when the camera focuses on something in the background and the foreground is blurred (and vise versa) like in real life. It is just so cool.

I'm also willing to bet that Halo 2's story will be far superior to Doom 3's.

Another point to be made, for those of you that didn't like the metallic levels in the original Halo (and thought it was repetitive, I for one liked them and see a variation of indoor levels as a bonus), then you can bet that the locations of indoor levels in Halo 2 will be alot more different than each other, seeing that its on Earth and how much eveybody likes to be different ;) I'm not sure if its all on earth, I'm betting that visiting other Halos will come into the game.

And there are much more vehicles in the game. I read the other day at a website that I lost the address to (got it at gamespy) that there are different types of warthogs in the game... snowhogs being one (for snow of course), a camoflaged one for forest areas being another and I forget about the other ones. there is also a people carrier to transport alot of troops around (and each other on online cooperative (being much more than 2 player)) in and many other vehicles. There is alot more that has been put into the game, and I really cannot wait :D

But I want to wait, because then I know that the game will be perfect without bugs if I do :)

yes the whole story will be on earth (of a big part of it), i think I prefered when it was on Halo itself

NEW INFORMATION!!!!!

I just got back from school, and my friend reserved Halo 2 from Gamestop, as well as picked up the new World Exclusive story in EGM this month, Halo 2. All new information, the flood will be returning, 100%, as well as possibly besides being on earth, you may visit another ringworld, and 343 might show up again. There are new wild animals, and creatures in the wilderness, called the brute force. and one of the new covenant are called the priests, or preachers. New warthogs, for the jungle(camouflage), for the snow, they have no wheels, but conveyers that get them accross the snow, and have opening doors that close, like the ones on a delerean, the normal warthog, and the transport one as seen. The ATV, a new convenant warthog type vehicle, that has a plasma cannon on back two pilot seats, sides that you can hold onto, and then the gunner. New features like weather, blowing up the environment, throwing tables and such and using them as barricades. Backing up to walls, like MGS, also covenant and you can hold onto edges and climb up. Also detailed were details about multiplayer, using all the new vehicles, as well as old, and the Banshee finally. New weapons too, for this game. I will add more after I read the rest of the article from my friend so stay tuned for more info, this is truly going to be one of the best games, besides the orignal halo. Enjoy

I knew that the flood would be back!!!!!!!!!!! Halo 2 just wouldent be the same without the parasitic aliens that we all know and hate!

Those parasitic lifeforms, that we love to hate, actually I loved having the huge battle between the flood and covenant, it really added a twist to the game. But the magazine said there is more we learn about the flood, and also the conflict between the flood covenant that has been going on for some time as well as why the covenant really want to get rid of the humans.

It says in the book: Halo: The Fall Of Reach ( really cool book ) that the Covenent are a superior race that will wipe out any form of life that it encounters, the Covenent belive that by doing this, they will become gods.

Also be looking for the new book on its way soon, based on the game Halo, Im going to get this to add to The Fall Of Reach which I have, but the name is Halo: The Flood. Look for it soon.;)
