Anyone who emulates the original games?
Hey...Question. Does anyone here emulate the playstation games (AO and AE) on PC?
Here's my situation. I've played AO on playstation a couple times (up to level 4 or so) plus the PC demo of AE over the past several years...I didn't own a playstation (my roommate did) so I never wanted to buy them. And the PC versions were a bit annoying because you have to use the keyboard, and I don't really like that for this type of game unless I can bind the keys myself. So, now I own an X-Box and picked up ME because it was cheap and I liked the first two games (though I never REALLY got into them). Anyway, ME is in the process of blowing my f***ing mind!!....Such a cool game, so now I want to go back and play the old ones. Long story short, I bought AO on playstation so I can emulate it (that way I can use a gamepad on my computer and don't have to deal with the way that AO saves the game). I've been using EPSX and there is a problem: it speeds the game up to impossible levels! So I got a slowdown program to use with it, but now the cutscenes are so slow they are unwatchable! Can anyone reccommend an emulator that plays the games better? Though I might break down and get the PC versions. What's the consensus: do the playstation or the PC versions look better (ingame and cutscenes)? |
sorry, I only got the gameboy titles emulated... I can't help you.
and I think the PS versions look better, but I'm not sure |
Hello siftland. Have you tried Bleem. I have used that before and it works good for some Playstation games but for others it isn't so good. I haven't tried any of the Oddworld games on it however. I think you can get a demo of it somewhere.

Have you tried searching for it on any websites? I know I used to be obsessed with trying to find ps1 games emulated, and I found heaps of them on seaches. I've lost all of my sites... sorry I can't help you thers, but see if that works... k?
