Background Music

What if there were background music, that you could turn on and off. You could listen to it while you were looking for something, then you could turn it off once you start reading it. Mabey Slig Barraks would go well with the forums? Or possibly that music that turns on when you go to the main menu of the games?

Hmm interesting but I don't how Alcer or Pilot or Abe Babe would see it. Over to you Alcer!

Majic 09-25-2002 09:50 PM

I think his name is "Alcar". Anyways, I don't like the idea. I usualy listen to music anyways, I just don't like the thought of it.

I think I covered this one in another topic, I would have to say no to background music. I, like many other people get annoyed with background music (well apart from FF midis... :D) on a web page. I always turn it down, or stop it or sometimes I can't and it interrupts the music I'm listening too.

I know there are some that like the idea, but I really think there would be more against it.

Same, im not really a fan of website background music.

Because of website background music, I have since then and will continue to always have my speakers disconnected and not working.

I haven't heard a sound from my speakers for nearly a year! However I will listen to music through my headphones.

Alcar...

Yeah, that's probably the way to go.. :)

I hate it when I acidently have my speakers up full blast, and suddenly I go onto a website with background midis... eek! it's really freaky!

Also, many times idiots in my class have been on the internet, and had their speakers on, and get caught because of the bg midis...! a common reply is "my screensaver came on".. heh!

Wouldn't background music slow your downloading time and more to download? if it does no to background music.

paramiteabe 10-04-2002 10:34 AM

Yea I think it would slow down the downloading time. Because not only you have the graphics to load but then sound. Which could take really long. Oh yea sorry about that up there that was a typo error.

General Drippik 10-04-2002 11:32 PM

It would cost too much.

oddling 10-11-2002 04:08 PM

Oddling, his ISP charges alot to download pics and stuff. he most likely has the option to see sigs and avatars turned off, background music would shoot up the price of browsing the website.

Munchman, i can understand if a few elipses are used for effect, but randomly inserting long "..............."s into your posts and talking all wierd is just freaky. I looked at your post list, all the recent ones are kinduh. .. ... lik uh..... ... .... this... . . ....
