Weird and ridiculous
Ive already raised this on another OW Forum, but no one noticed...anyway, a few months ago while playing AO, I was just about to save the last Mudokon when I looked up at the status to find something weird: I had saved -3 Employees, or, I had saved 102! Now, Im a reasonable person, but Im unsure if this is a glitch or not. Has this ever happened to anyone else?
And for the unbelievers, I have pics (which I have not altered in any way) and for those who have AO on PC, I have the save file; purely to justify my statements, not to show off or say"I told you so!", so if anyone wants to see this strange occurrence, Ill email 'em to ya somehow. |
That's probably some bugs.
Some time ago we had a topic like this where people talked about such stuff... |
Yea I would like to see that pm me the image mann. That sounds interesting. Maybe it was glich you never know!
|
Something similar happened to me too, but not at the same place.
Check it out. |
yes, that problem sounded familiar...
It seems that OWi have a problem with the "-3" number |
I heard from my friend that he played with AE and he rescued 310 mudokons! Of 300! Interesting, huh?
I still can't belive it... :D |
I heard of someone who saved 102 mudokons in AO, it's possible
|
The same thing happened to me in stockyards(part1). I saved 31 mudokons but instead it showed I saved 28 & -3 casualties
|
welcome Drogo, have a great time here...
well yeah, it seems you are one of theones who got that problem, bad luck :( |
-3 casualties must mean +3 saves. It figures. Cause you saved 31, right. So 31 -3 =28!
|
So it didnt just happen to me....intriguing:rolleyes:.
Anyway, sorry paramitabe, I couldnt figure out how to attach a file in a PM, so Ima gonna try and post it on here. I had to remove large portions of the pic so I could compress it to a reasonable size, though. |
yeah, thanx for the picture, that is pretty stange!
|
Yea it is odd. Hmm you think some of the games were accendently manufactured wrong to give them that glich? All my Oddworld games are in great shape.
|
Yeah, I got that too.
Maybe OWI put 102 muds in the game, to test us. I never got extra muds in AE though... |
I think whoever said they saved 310 Muds is pullin' our chains. Ive been through the game a multitude of times (yes, begin with the 'Nerd' name calling:rolleyes::lol: ), and I know where everything is. If there is 310 Muds, then they must be in an extremely secret room, coz Ive been through and checked every drop, every wall, and every inconspicuous object to see if it is a secret of some kind, but none of them were.
This person must have been someone in dire need of attention. |
That was my friend, and I think it was a bug. I think no one can remember how many mudokons he/she saved, or I'm wrong? I mean without those signs.
|
I think it's not a secret room, but a bug
|
I wasnt really talking directly to you, Dripik, more towards your friend. But I would have to agree, I think it would have been a bug.

A strange thing happened to me today while plying AE. It's the second time I'm starting it. I was on the way to going on the train to Soulstorm Brewery.I saved a mud and advanced further to the next path. But then I decided to go back were I saved that guy to investigate more...so I restarted the path. When I got back the mud was there!!! I looked at my status and I aready saved him!!! I tryed doing that again but it didn't work. By the way the -3 thing at AO wasn't a big deal. I died once and it was 31 muds and 0 casualties so I did the game with all of them.
|
hmm so you saved 3 times the same mud? what did the countor said? it would be intresting
|
Well it's understandable that the mud would be there if you restarted the path - everything in the path goes back to the way it was when you first entered it.
What did the counter say? did it not reset when you restarted the path? |
I think thats what he was getting at.
|
Okay I'll explain in detail. I had 201 muds. I go to the end at feeco depot where I am supposed to get the train to Soulstorm Brewery. I see above 4 blind muds you get to save later on. I go down I see that guy, I save him (now I have 202 muds). I advance to the next path (remember that now if I restart the path I will still have 202). So I did restart. Now when I go back I see that guy again, I save him and I have 203.It almays works but only once in the same game. Try doing this yourself.
|
so you can have so many muds you want...
thanx for the tip |
No, not all the muds just one extra because it only works once.
|
ah, well it's nice to know... even if it only works once
|
In AE, I found I could save as many muds as I wanted by quickly blowing up the glukkon after telling the security fone "do it"...before the movie plays.
When I arrived back to feeco, I would find the door to where I'd been would still be open. So I could loop through Slig Barracks repeatedly for example and save a whole crop of muds each time.. |
nice, and what is your most mudokons saved?
|
About 500..
|
only in AE?
wow, amasing, is it on the PC version or the PS version? |
