I just saw mention of a new Halo soundtrack in the Halo Trailer topic, so thought I'd start a topic on video game soundtracks.

How many of you either listen to video game soundtracks/MP3s or like the music from games. I listen to Final Fantasy music as some of you may know (okay, it's all I really listen to now days, no need to stir me!). I also like the music from the Oddworld games.

well I got the Halo soundtrack and my favorite is number 10: "under cover of night".

and I saw there exist a AO soundtrack, but I can't find it

My favorites are the JGR and JSRF soundtracks. Excellent music.

JSRF had some awesome songs. what was the name of that song by Scapegoat Wax. that was one of the best songs on there. a lot of good techno new wave japanese stuff too.

I like the JGR/JSRF music. Xavier has also given me the idea to go and downlaod Halo songs. I also like the Space Channel 5 songs, and Ridge Racer Type 4.

If it would count, I like the music from Gran Turismo 2, but those are actual songs just put together to serve as music. WEll, I gues ti does count...

Sonic has good music, my fav is "Chaos Zero Old shcool rap" lol

if any of you have played gunvalkyrie the music on nafalgars pit is top qaulity music. it reminds me of danny elfmans "ice dance" from edward scissor hands.

I lurve the music from Halo, but I don't have the soundtrack.. :( There are too many Sailor Moon game songs that i listen to, most of them don't have names (cos I download them a long time ago, and I didn't name them!!!) most of them are called untitledsong2.mp3!!! :P

I haven't got any soundtracks, but I have extracted music from some of my games.

I like the 7th Guest/11th Hour, Gabriel Knight, Myst, Lords of Magic and The Longest Journey music. :)

Gun Valkyrie, Nagflars pit.. O yes, I like that song. Many of the other ones are also quite cool, they remind me of older Nintendo games almost.

Yeah! I'm not the only one who liked that song! The GV music sucked until Naglarfs Pit...

I only have a few MP3s, but my favourite soundtracks (in no order) are (and favourite song)...

Halo - That really calm tune that is played in the main menu randomly. If that is on the actual soundtrack, somebody send me the MP3 file pleeeeease!

Hunter: The Reckoning - Terrabola (kick arse scary/action music. If anybody has the main title theme of this game, please send =D )

Diablo 2 - Tristram (beutiful music)

Deus Ex - Paris Chateu (again, beutiful)

I can't remember the name but its from FFX and it's the music from tidus's blitzball game in the beging(AbeBabe you should know)I would restart the game over and over just to hear it.

When I first played GV, that music creeped me out, with the mutant bugs and all, it reminded me of Childs Play, I don't know why. But once I got used to it, it was pretty cool.

I love the soundtracks to Grim Fandango (very cool, Spanish style) and Full Throttle has some hilarious songs

I like the Grim themes too. :) LucasArts certainly matches the music to the genre of the game.

My favorite videogame soundtrack is that wonderful soundtrack from Wario Land 4. I like the Toy Block tower music. Some of the songs have vocals.

I found somebody, who knows about the Abe a Gogo Soundtrack and promised me to find a copy...

I like some of the FFVIII and X,Tomb Raider and Oddworld soundtracks.

Tomb Raider - Theme
FF VIII- The Castle, Ultimecia's battle theme etc.
Resident Evil: Save Room theme from CVX it's so beautiful and touching it brings a tear to my eye.

I also like Fortress from the Diablo 2 Expansion pack ... it's the only non Final Fantasy song I have in my current playlist (over 350 songs and still adding!).

Hello Abe Babe. I too like Final Fantasy music. It is very beautiful. My favorite songs are Yuna's Theme and Suteki da ne from Final Fantasy X. I do not own any of the soundtracks though as I do not know where to buy them. I have some MP3s that I listen to sometimes. But what is Tidus and Yuna single? I would love to hear that.

Well I just started getting into the Video Game soundtrack thingie, but so far I got the Final Fantasy X soundtrack, the Chrono Chross soundtrack and the Get Freaky soundtrack.:fuzsmile:

It is called the Tidus and Yuna Tribute Album but is really more of a single than an album. There are 3 songs on it (the ones mentioned in my favorites) in both vocal and instrumental formats. I also think there are some spoken word tracks (in Japanese) which are possibly extracts from the game. The vocals are actually by the voice actors who play Tidus and Yuna in the Japanese version of FFX.

I don't know where you would be able to buy it from as it isn't even listed in the link that autsiya provided. But if you do a search on any music/file downloading program you should be able to find the MP3s easy enough.
