Black Quarma

You can get Black Quarma in the US version as well. Black Quarma isn't just the bad ending. It's when you mercilessly slaughter almost all of the Mudokon scrubs and fuzzles in the game.

Well, no, I don't see why they would make two different versions...

You don't need to slaughter anything: just don't save anything and you will get black quarma.

The only difference between the different versions of MO is that in North America there are Sobe powerups, while in the rest of the world they have a different name (I forgot what it's called)

the difference is: SoBe... there is Sobe advertisig in the American version and no advertising in the European version.

so yes there is a difference

steel scrab 09-10-2002 08:37 PM

thanks but i know about sobe, its just i didnt get the bonus nespaper for the black quarma ending

Xavier 09-11-2002 03:24 AM

well, I think you just have to kill every Scrub, fuzzle and egg crate. then you will get black quarma

Facsimile 12-01-2002 05:47 AM

But you have to rescue about 10 Fuzzles on Munch's first mission. How can you kill everyone?

Oh and Nate, in our version, SOBE's are called Health-Up.

Xavier 12-01-2002 06:54 AM

you have to recue a few fuzzles and a few muds... even if you want the black ending

M.O.M 12-01-2002 07:11 AM

i think its impossible to not save all the muds, and fuzzles

oko 12-04-2002 04:44 PM

yeah it's not the bad ending the new's paper is in,it's the terrible ending or do you got the terrible ending?

Mojo 12-05-2002 11:15 AM

I resqued the 10 fuzzles you need to open the door in Vykkers Labs, and I resqued the 2 muds ya need to resque to open the doors in the loading dock.
I killed all of the other muds, fuzzles and egg crates, but I still didn't get the black ending. My total quarma was 'saved 12 out of...'

oko 01-04-2003 05:31 AM

did you "kill" the other's or "ignore"them?

buckminster 01-04-2003 11:30 AM

I went out and actually had all but the 12 killed. It's quite labor intensive since if the fuzzles are close enough to each other, they will fight in defense of a fuzzle being beat up. I even killed all of the native mudokons that didn't need rescuing (didn't make a difference in the ending, though).

Why is it so bad that OWI put SoBe power-ups in the US version of the game anyway? There was a big comotion and I dont get why...

P.S Plus, its a healthy drink too!

There are only two sobe vending machines in the U.S. Version. The rest are Health up in the other levels with health vendos. That is the only difference. And I found another xbox game with sobe in it. The game Splinter Cell, in the CIA level, in the break room, there is a sobe rush(adrenaline) vending machine. Although in that game you cant get anything from the machine. I personally didnt mind though the sobe health machines in MO. They had the same purpose as the normal health vendos.

Not that I played the game, (damn Xbox) but it must be hard to fin all the fuzzles. Those landscapes were pritty big and can't one fuzzle hide behind a log somewere?

Facsimile 01-06-2003 06:44 AM

I thought the landscapes were small, but I know nothing about how much you can fit on a level. There was only one time I couldn't find Fuzzles, well I could find them, but I couldn't find the door to get to them. And no they are easy to find otherwise as they aren't hidden and are all in groups. Their cages also have a light.
