Can I make a suggestion?
 

Some people have probably noticed several topics have started in the Fan Corner, which are technically classed as Role Playing.
All I wish to suggest, is that maybe there could be a sub-forun of the Role Playing area which these more humourus RP's could be played out, seperate from the serious main RP.
Does anyone agree or disagree with this?

I tend to not like that idea, as i dont think having many forums would be a good thing, funny RPGs/Fics (whatever) are still classed as RPGs/Fics (whatever).

As long as we follow the guidelines the Moderators of the forums that have these give us, we should be fine. I see no reason to make a mini forum for this. However good suggestion.:fuzsmile:

I see them as non-official RPGs if they don't follow the character etc.. requirments set. The Online Hike *shudder* was like an RPG similar to what yoru talking about, I'd say off topic with them.

But to me as long as the Mod has placed some rules on them and has considered to harbor it then we should abide by the rules and continue on with the fun.:fuzsmile:

Good suggestion but the support does not go well with me. I have recently posted a sticky reminder to keep things that are in my juristiction (FC) as well as Alector's the way they should be. Such as Fan Fics inside Fan Corner should be about Oddworld or atleast primarily about oddworld, and not too RPGish, as recent topics have become. I have no problem with interactive stories, but as Majic says, I hope they dont become like Online Hike, where it just becomes a way to get posts for some members, keyword here, but at the time I have no feelings that those are the purposes of the recent topics, or at the members, or atleast I hope so. and I just sent the simple reminder to refresh everyones memory. So it makes it easier for members, and Myself and Alector in FC. Thanks.

I don't really see a need for such a forum. We already have three forums dedicated to these kinds of things, so another is not really needed. Don't get me wrong, I do like your idea... but with the current size of Oddworld Forums, I feel that such a forum would remain relatively empty or posts in it would not be noticed as much.

As far as I see it the break down is as follows:

Fan Corner - Oddworld artwork, fanfics, short stories, poems or other examples of Oddworld related creatitity.

Oddworld RPG - On going RPG, but also induvidual or side quest RPGs can be posted here, as long as it is made clear they are not part of the main RPG.

Member Art and Literature - any member created artwork, stories, etc. This forum could also contain add-ons (that are stories or perhaps RPG like in nature) that are not related to Oddworld in any way.
