i was wondering what kind of creature will squeek be. i was thinking since abe was land and munch is water mabye squeek will be able to fly. just a thought.

I've always thought Squeek was a Slig. I had a great argument but it's back in the old forum

None of us have any idea what he could be. For all we know he is a Mudokon. I think he will be a new creature, possibly small, maybe a bat or a mouse. Dont try to convince me other wise, because I'm not going to argue about what it is.

I think he should be a flying fleech. :D

I don't have much evidence but I think Squeek will be a Meech. He can't be a mudokon, Elum, because all the main characters are different creatures.

Sentient? I should know what that means but I don't. It's been hinted that they will be in Munch's Oddysee and it's very unlikely that they are really extinct. If sentient means what I think it does, we can't really tell at this point as not enough is known about them. Only time will tell.

What is a sentient? And..I wasn't being serious about Squeek being a Mudokon, notice the "For all we know". :)

Sentient literally means "self-aware". It's come to mean intelligent, thinking. Mudokons are sentient, Scrabs aren't.

I thought so, by the limited number of pics we've seen so far they don't look real "Self-aware", but you never know, OWI could surprise us all!

I can't remember where I read it, but there is a quote around somewhere of Lorne saying something about creatures that are overlooked in earlier games as being insignificant may return in a later game to play a much greater role.

At the moment there are not many "insignificant" creatures, but with the 40+ creatures that are meant to make an appearance in Munch's Oddysee... surely some of these are insignificant. This could tie in with Pacen's comment about it being hinted that they could make an appearance in Munch's Oddysee.

that quote sounds like he's talking about things that you, personally, overlook early in munch's oddysee, not things that were overlooked in abe's oddysee.

i think meeches will return, but Squeek is either a slig or something new. somehow, i don't think he will actually squeak.

does Munch munch particularly?

does Abe abe at all?

* Squeek is gonna bee an insect. Buzzing and flying around. With some new special powers like transforming-power. (He will be able to squeez himself into another appereance)

That's a good point... when I heard the name Munch I assumed he was a big Godzilla-style eating machine. But he's not, it's just a name. That's why Squeek could well be a Slig, even though they don't squeak (unless nobody oils their pants )

We've probably overlooked slurgs... didn't someone have a theory about them??

Yeah, I understand it's unlikely to have a meech as a main character so perhaps Squeek will be another creature. I do believe that Meeches will play a large role in future games and I think I read somewhere that they make an appearance in Munch's Oddysee.

i think squeek will be something totally different.

Someone said that Squeek could be what Slurgs grow up to be. But I think that when Slurgs are full grown, they are still just Slurgs. What kind of problems would a hero slurg have anyway?

I have it, I think there are clues to what this 'squeek' maybe.

*Im 2D Cartoon Art class, we call this small guy squeeks, meaning he is got to be very HUGE or very SMALL. Because remember, not all things oddworld make much sence.

In conclusion, He maybe a Big Bro Slig or a Fuzzle because there things we have seen. Yet, Never seen because we havnt Played MO yet!! Yaaaa, Catch my drift...

I think whoever told us that its something we have seen, but something we haven't was just trying to throw us off.

I guess a good slig could be it, but that would suck, lol. I would much rather it just be a new creature that we haven't seen. Why cant we just talk about and concentrate on Munch instead of going off on Squeek? :confused:

There's a million things that we've "seen but haven't seen". It's the kind of irritating thing that only Alf would say. :mad:

i agree with elum that perhaps we should focus our attention and valuble time haha on munch. for now at least.

i thought it was lorne who said 'nothing we've seen before, but nothing we haven't seen before'. or am i wrong again?
