Abe's Next Role
 

Hello, everyone! I just wanted to know what all of you think Abe's role will be in the next Oddworld game. Do you think his role will be just as large as it was in MO, or do you think he'll step aside a bit and let Munch take center stage? I tend to think that our blue friend should take a lower-key role in the next game. I want to know Munch better. In other words, I want to know Munch as well as I know Abe, and that didn't happen in MO. (Yes, I am back from my long hiatus, if anyone cares.)

well, Munch will probably got a bigger role then Abe in the next game. Since the next game will probably be a Munch bonus game

I want to see that, Xavier, but OI said that Abe would only have a supporting role in MO but I would say that Munch was actually in Abe's shadow for a lot of the game, so who can tell what they'll do with Munch for the next game.

I know, but this was to not dissapoint the big Abe fans, but now Munch was introduced we will see him more

I really like Abe but I can also let go of him a little bit. If Abe continues to have a role as large as he does, Munch will become a throwaway character in the series and I don't want to see that happen. I know that you say Abe will have a reduced role in the next game and I hope you are right but I'm not terribly optimistic about it.

well, the quintology is Abe's story
in MO it introduce Munch, with a little role, I suppose In each bonus game the big role will be for the current hero.

So we will see Squeak Oddysee with the main role of Abe and Munch
and Squeak Exoddus with the main role of Squeak.

I've read countless times that the Oddworld Quintology was not intended to be Abe's story, but the story of Oddworld itself.

well in fact the quintology is the story of the biggest revolution on Oddworld... and the hero of this revolution is Abe :fuzsmile:

Well, I like Abe much more than Munch, but I think that maybe if OWI gives Munch more of a chance in gameplay, Munch will begin to grow on people...

If the next game is going to be anything like what the original idea for MO was like, then Abe will be in half of the game and then the rest will be just Munch. In the original plot you were suppose to play as both Abe and Munch for only a part of the whole game but then you split up somewhere in the middle.

I want Munch for way more than half of the game! I want him to say a lot, do a lot and have a key role in the story.

Yea Alcar but we now don't know if it will be called Munch's Exoddus. Ya know? Because of what OWI said about the next game. They are just calling it "Oddworld's Next Game" at the moment. But we could be right. And yea I want to see more Munch than Abe too. After all it is Munch's story.

we don't know if it will be the same as "oddworld 4"

Hmm, well from what I've heard Abe will have a fairly decent role in all of the games, as will all of the other characters that get introduced along the way. Although the main character of each game will have the biggest role out of the rest, so I guess its safe to say that Munch will have a bigger role in ME.

I really want to see what Munch will do with all of those baby Gabbits. How will he keep them safe? How will he get dates? The suspense! The drama! GASP! I'd better start saving my money!:love:

I disagree. Lorne said that he originally wanted Squeek to be the first oddysee but decided to change to abe because people would be able to relate to a humanoid more.

I wanna see more Munch, But I want Abe to be there too. But It is Munch's Exodus, Munch deserves a good role.

Abe is the savior of the Mudokons, Munch is the savior of the Gabbits. In Squeaks Oddysee, Squeak will be the savior of the .... Squeak kind ???.
