Maggie is not what she seems!

You know I was looking at the pic of Lady Margret and I was thinking about how small Munch's lungs are and how Big Maggie seems and that there would be no way Munch's lungs could fit her.

But then I was thinking about what a normal glukken looks like without his suit on. Its just the long arms and the small legs and body. A gabbit's lungs could fit a normal glukken because their body is actually small enough. But what about Margret the Gluk queen? She looks like that big termite thing. But then thats when I noticed it. That is not her full body. Her full body is just her big head and her arms and body connected to a very large egg sack just like Sam. Stare at the picture of a naked Glukken and then stare at Margret for a bit. But pay close attention to her head and arms and keep stareing back and forth and you will see the resemblence. So Munch's lungs are a perfect size for Margret because her body is actually small enough like a normal glukkens only with a big head. Thats what I see at least.

I still don't get it :fuzconf:

Thanks Xavier for putting that picture in. Ok what I mean is basically Margrets head and her two sets of arms is her real body. That is where the lungs would be put because that is her normal glukken body. That part of her body is probably small enough to hold gabbit lungs. The rest of her (which is her back end) is just a big over grown egg sack or spawner. Thats what I think.

To make it easier, visualize Margret as just her head and her arms, walking around, without her back end attached to her. Or try this, take your hand and cover her untire body and just have her arms and head show. You will see that she looks like some kind of over grown glukken with a strange head. You see what I am saying? She is probably just an over grown head with a very small body attached to a massive egg sack which could be attached somewhere into the ceiling. For some reason I believe all the queens might be over sized heads attached to massive egg sacks.

I don't know for sure about all of this. But that is what my impression is on the picture. That is what I can come up with. And that is what I can see. I don't know I maybe wrong but I like to think that could be possible.

Xavier 08-30-2002 05:31 PM

I see what you mean but...
I don't think you are right, I think the whole creature is in one piece and that the pointy thing are in fact mini legs (like insects)
but I can't explain the lungs size thing, maybe she life realy relax and don't need big lungs, I dunno

plus are glukkon from eggs?

TheKhanzumer 08-30-2002 05:45 PM

Maggie

My guess is that the lungs she needs are to replace the ones ruined by smoking. She probably has others not connected to her mouth which provide oxygen to other parts of her body.

And I'm pretty sure that glukkons are born live like mammals.

1 yeah that possible! I like that idea.

2 I dunno why but I have the same feeling

They're born as eggs. The four pincer things are the things that pull them out.

PA i have no idea what your going on about, i read it...and realised you really do need to get a little bit of a life...(Im being polite, praise me for it)

The Lungs go inside of her, thats it...nothing more. They go inside her chest. Its possible she needs more than two though. Glukkons may have more than two Lungs. Also, another thing for you theory people to go on...and on...and on about. How are they going to operate on her? She's so big? And who'd operate on her?

I have that impression too, sometimes

she could be like a slug with hloes down her body

it dont make any sense, if that is her body where would here body organs go?

Wil 09-14-2002 03:01 PM

Glukkons are born live. Maggie drops a whole load of 'em out at a time.

And I don't see why Maggie can't just have small lungs compared to her body. Did nobody think of that?

Jacob 09-14-2002 04:47 PM

I thort i said that...

Wil 09-14-2002 07:22 PM

*checks*

I'll trust you.

perhaps it is not the size of the lungs but the quality of the aveoli in them. the smaller lungs could be better suited for breathing because munch is a water critter and would need to hold his breath for longer periods of time. they may need less "air" for more breath then a glukk does.
-or-
perhaps she has many gabbit lungs in her and thats why they needed to hunt them for medical purposes. to learn how to make a better lung for their queen. they could fit tons of those where her lungs should be.
-or-
her lungs are not inside her body (the giant pipe shes hooked up to)
-or- her lungs are inside her mouth

there is all sorts of creative ideas on this that i can come up with. i say just pick your favorite explanation (except for discontinuity :) and work with it. they will tell us if it ever really becomes a major problem.

those were some really good explinations. The aveoli of amphibious creatures probably are stronger so that would make quite a lot of sense in this case.

No, Munch is amphibious.

frogs have lungs and they are amphibians, my point is his body is made for long periods of under water time.

did anyone htink, that that was just a concept sketch and mebe maggie has been remodeled and resized?

Xavier 09-29-2002 05:10 PM

sorry but I don't like that idea... :fuzemb:

TheKhanzumer 09-30-2002 09:29 PM

Hi

Nice to see you back Lantra. I haven't seen you post for a while.

mudflub2 10-19-2002 03:45 AM

lantra is so right!

MindFlare 10-24-2002 09:11 PM

Suspended Disbelief anyone? hehe...fact of the matter is...a theory is just as it seems...a theory..it could be ANYTHING, why try to figure it out when just accepting it is so much easier. If everyone tried to break down EVERYTHING, then youd end up being dissapointed and probably let down. Suspended Disbelief. ;)

What if the new remodeled Maggie is a Gloktigi? I know it doesn't seem likley, but just think about it. How did I come to this conclusion you ask? The little green leprechan on my shoulder said so

Leprachan: Aye, ya did good laddie, NOW BURN THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah crap, not the leprechan.........Ah crap, why did I listen to him?............ Ah crap.....I'm high again.......

tybie_odd 11-10-2002 07:41 PM

Paramite Abe, I for one prefer your theory. I always thought of it that way myself actually, and I'm glad I'm not alone. :fuzwink:

Max, I agree with your theory of glukks being born in large batches. I had always thought they were hatched though. Did OW officially say they were born alive, or is that just your take on it?

Mindflare, I totally agree with you! Theories will always be theories. There is no proof here, all opinion.

Sligster, that's a very interesting thought. I hope we get to learn more about Gloktigi in Munch's Exoddus. That would be cool!

paramiteabe 11-26-2002 11:07 AM

She has 2 sets of arms which could mean she walks on all four. which can explan how such skinny arms can hold up a rather large head. I think she can walk on all four and the large part is for the eggs and that she could detatch herslf from that. Thats what I ment by all of this.

Facsimile 12-09-2002 06:36 AM

Somehow I don't think she would do a lot of walking.

Big_Bro_Slig222 12-16-2002 08:53 PM

Well Maggie's design could easily be changed for the next game, so why are we fretting over this?
