Speedy Gonzales has been banned from cartoon network for portraying an "ethnic stereotype" I don't see what the big deal is. Speedy kicks ass. He calls a cat El Gato, has drunken rodent friends, thieves from a cat, and speaks in a ridiculous "Meheeco" accent so I see how some uptight spoilsporting ninnies might take offense. But come on, would you rather watch speedy gonzales then some retarded A Pup Named Scooby Doo rerun? This show also has impeccable credentials as it won an oscar and was nominated for an oscar in 1957 and 1961. What shitty ass cartoon cartoon can say it is an oscar winner and twice nominated show?

They still show early cartoons of big-lipped African slaves carting things with an exaggerated stride.

These are not stereotyping human beings. A shark won't give a care, a human would.

Edit: I know they still show Afican-American with big lips, big eyes and reallly dark that you only see our eyes! The little rascals had some racial slurs in there but they edited them out on television. You have to see the tapes. And also, when a bomb exploded on acartoon character, they have big lips, and huge eyes and they start to act like those slaves down south. Like Bugs Bunny did.
