Name Change (explaination)

Hello! You are probably wondering...'who the heck is Sl'askia and how did she get such a high post count?'...well its me Dragadon, I had my name changed on here.
Why? Well when I first came on this board the name I chose was just a name to represent myself as online...and respentation of the dragon persona I had adopted (which was just me to began with...its a little hard to explain). A few months ago I started having a 'spiritual revolation'...and sometimes when I look at this board and see 'Dragadon' I think 'who is that? Oh yea...that's me'. Now...that may be understandable if you don't visit these forums everyday...but I am here everyday and post something most days. The reason...is because 'Dragadon' and the dragon persona she represented no longer fit...in fact it is hard for me to visualise that lilac and silver dragon in my mind now a days.
As I reveiled in another topic some time ago...I a believe I am 'Otherkin' (a human in physical form but the spirit is something else completely in its simplist defination)...and Sl'askia is the name of my spiritual side...a side that doesn't seem to even want to identify with 'Dragadon' (though she still exists...but only as a character now...like Spider and all my others).
I debated requesting a name change for a while...but finally decided to try for it...with the complete understanding I my request may be rejected. As you can see it hasn't and I am just making this post to inform to help avoid confusion. (Especially for the ones that don't know me well)
If you have questions...go ahead and ask...I will answer them the best I can when I return...for now I have to go to work...*makes a face*

two questions: How did you change your name? Do mods and admns have a special option for that?

Admins have the option to change anyone's name.

It is very hard to be given the green light for a name change, Dragadon *cough* I mean Sl'askia, had a very good reason.

I have just recently realised i am a 'Vampirekin' and that my Vampire name is 'Koah' could the Admins please change my screen name to 'Koah' cos i am rrrrreally bothered what people, whom i have never met, think about me/call me...

Nice try Chris, I know they won't change it for you. :P :D

Edit: One reason I know of why they agreed to my request is because I have been here a long time and have a very good track record here. Yes...I am braggin just a tad.... :D

EDIT: By the way, Chris, why did you choose Jacob as your screen name anyway?

Its one of my fave names. I was going to have 'Zyraxx' but thats faaar to appaling. I then was going to have 'Cain' but that would seem as if i was trying to be sinister. So i settled with 'Jacob' i relativly fluffy name...

Well Ive been here for a while but I dont want to change my name. I like it just the way it is, probably still not long enough to get it changed, but I do say Im a Semi Veteran, I registered in October, before even Alcar, oh well who gives a crap, I just will always know Ive been here really long compared to some of these people,

Is it just me or do I see a sneaky resemblence betwhen "otherkin" and "otherkind"?

Any way, I think aslong as you dislike your name for any reason, you should be able to change your screen name...and real name for that matter.

'Otherkind'? Please tell me what that is...for I haven't heard of that one before...

I think hes relating it to being another "kind", hence otherkind. Kin though has to do with family, so the actual meaning of it would be from a different family, I think for Rachels case dragon blood. Or something.

Interesting though, if otherkind was a word (correct me if I'm wrong) it could serve the same perpurose, its just more like a choppy slightly confusing term thats improper. ^_^
