inhabitants married to xbox???

Will Munch's Oddysee be the only game to be an xbox exclusive? God I hope so. Unless microsoft paid the oddworld inhabitants a chit-load of money, they must be taking it in the shorts right now. I might have picked up a PS2 had Munch come out on that platform ... why ... cause all my other PS1 games will play on it too.

There is no way I'm buying a platform just to play one game ... Munch. Has anyone else noticed how few games there really are for the xbox. It's been a year now, and I don't see the xbox taking off.

I for one hope that the "inhabitants" take a good look at the numbers game ... number of PS2 systems SOLD vs. xbox ... and translate that into potential future sales of game Y.

c'est la vie ... just have to play Abe again (The inhabitants should read that as, "i've bought my game from y'all; you've gotten your one-time payment. Too bad there won't be anymore as you no longer make a product I can use." Jeez, haven't they noticed how few products are available for the Macintosh computers vs. PC ... why ... there are 9 PC's to every 1 Mac ... if you were developing a product for a computer system, which product would you develop for?

When will everyone learn...

The OWIs contract with Microsoft (X Box) was not for money. If they wanted money they would develope for all game consoles and PC. The reason they are X Box exclusive is because they like the console layout better and developing games is easier for them. Plus it allows them to do things graphics wise they wouldn't be able to do with other consoles.

Khanz, how can you be so sure?

And Javan, their are quite a few good games for X-Box coming out for X-mas. And it hasn't been out a year, its been out 5-8 months.

i bought MO the day it came out. i did not buy an xbox untill 3 days later. (my friend had one). making them xbox exclusive is a good marketing strategy because if you want it you will need an xbox and people really WILL buy one just for a good game. if they keep with Xbox exclusives then we know we dont have to switch systems any time in the future. if you really cant afford it then just think about renting one. the oddworld games didnt have too much replay value anyway. i agree xbox is sad right now(unless you like racing/sports), but it will get better there is no question there. i think it would hurt them to say it was xbox exclusive and then make it for all systems.

about the PC comment. console systems are the IDEAL scenario for relatively simple games because of their NO INSTALL, NO HASSLE, plug in and play concept. no install glitches or video card problems

obviously xbox is gonna have more OW titles, so if you got one you can sit back and wait. if you have another system then find a friend with an xbox and buy it for yourself. if you have no purchased a system yet and cant decide then find the one with the most games you will play. the fans will find a way to get their munch fix im sure

I agree with Khanz. I have also seen a lot of evidence to support OWI reasoning for switching to Xbox, but the people who tend to complain about it are mainly not interested in looking at the various sources of data.
Plus I'm pretty sure you'll find that the next few games are also going to be for Xbox.
Also I'm glad they are on Xbox, as with my PC not being very advanced, I would have to buy a new computer in order to play any new games, and that costs a lot more than an Xbox.

I had six Xbox games at one point. Not I have one, Halo. You know why? Because they weren't very good. At least there's Fable (and maybe Blinx) to look forward to.
I'm also wondering if turning my Xbox into a PC would be a good idea. Not yet, of course, but when somebody gets Linux working on the Xbox.

Like what? All the three next-generation consoles have great graphics.

What people need to understand(Using PS2 as an example) is that PS2's graphics were really bad when it first came out. Now as the console nears the end of its life, the graphics are not as good as XBOX's first generation games. B.C., Halo 2, and Fable will set the new standard for XBOX graphics. ME will be getting a graphical facelift come the next game. The graphics it produces will not be able to be handeled on any other system then XBOX. It is not as though OWI is mean, it just means MO/ ME, etc. will not work on PS2, unless it is built from the ground up... That would take a long time and subtract from the making of the other games. The next three games in the oddworld quintology are exclusive to XBOX, like the GTA series is exclusive to PS2... games sell consoles, PERIOD.

Halo 2 has used all the capabilities of the X-Box. So hopefully the explosions will be realistic, the skin movement and the damage control (Like in SoF2) I like realism to the extent of wounding creatures and watching them crawl away to die...

The developers have been spending a lot of time improving the lighting, and it shows in the seven Halo 2 screens... still 20 fricken days until we get the sweet trailer!:( :(

In the trailer the covenant are attacking earth, so will the game take place on earth, I hope not.

I hope you can blow holes in walls and make scenery collapse...

I have a PC game called Fable, whats the xbox one supposted to be about?

Its about a kid whose family get brutally murdered. You then take control of the kid in a living world (Literally) and can go the good path or the bad. Its been produced by Blue Box but has Peter Molyneux behind it, the best games designer there is. If you get cut as a child, the cut will heal and thus turn into a scar which will then be with you throughout your life. You can also get tattoo's and dress up as a woman...(No idea why i included that, it just seemed a vital part of gaming)

X-Box games will be getting much better as time progresses as we already know with ME and other exciting titles. I give it about at least a year or two to start seeing games that are deep in the realisem. I am also glad that OWI has chosen it's games to be X-Box exclusive. The X-Box gave OWI very good promises for their games.

It's seems to me that OWI wants all their games to be total realistic world simulated games. Only X-Box can handle such a task in createing that. I think Oddworld is perfect for the X-Box. Thats all I have to say.
