Abe It
My website doesn't seem to want to work, so instead I'll upload Abe It here. It's in a zip file called Abe It Pack, which contains both version 1 and version 2(version 2 is just version 1 with doors added, the default V2 levelpack is just one screen - so I included version 1 as well). Here's the list of features:
Version 1:
Version 2:
I don't think it mentions the bugfix in the V2 help file, it's with barriers when changing screens - even though you can't see ones from the previous screen on the new screen, sometimes they're still there(this bug, although affects closed barriers, can only be detected with closed ones on screens where a lever to operate barriers with the same Lever ID are - which doesn't happen at all yet, and due to the bug being fixed, won't happen ever again - it only happened in a level to test Abe It V0, which had Levers, Barriers, Abe and up to 4 screens(2x2 square), and was never and will never be released(I don't even have it anymore! don't ask for it!). If you want your custom levels in, check the V2 help file as it will explain how. Anyway, the Abe It Pack is attached. *Edit: If you want to play it and don't have LTPB by Interplay, check further down* |
Please refrain from double posting, i'm sure people will eventually get around to it.
This isn't a warning, more so a reminder as you are new here. I don't have the time at the moment to look at it, im quite busy trying to download my whole website back onto my hard drive. A lot of megabytes.... :D Alcar... |
sorry, but what program do I have to run to play the game?
sounds realy cool, I downloaded thwhole stuff. but I don't see any *.exe |
It's a Basic Program... I-Are-A-Slog, if you want people without Basic to run it, you need to compile it into an executable (.exe) file.
|
yes, caus I want to play it too
|
Well there's a runner.exe program you can get to run BAS files created with LTPB, but it doesn't work with Abe It for some reason. If you give me a little while, I can probably create a compatible version.
Edit: Forgot to mention there's no compiler available for Interplay's LTPB programs - The PKG Maker and PKG Runner are the closest you can get to one. I'll post the Runner.exe along with an Abeit.pkg file when the compatible version is made. It's already about 80% done - but Abe It isn't a very complicated program, and plus it's only the iXXXX.dat files that make it incompatible, so I'm putting them into the program rather than external files. The lXXXX.bmp and sXXXX.spr files are impossible to code into the program, but there again, they don't give errors in the first place. BTW, if you're wondering why the PKG version has no L or S files, they're included in the PKG(you can include them in PKGs but not the actual source code itself). |
If you go to www.interplay.com and go to tech support for LTPB, you can get the runner there - i can't post it here because even zipped it's over the limit. It's about 150k zipped, the limit is 100k. If someone increases the size limit i'll post it here. Anyway, here's Abe It Version 2 pkg(though it contains the V1 levels). You'll still need to download the original, non-pkg version for the instruction manual.
*edit: a small update, nothing major, it fixes the hidden screen bug which is almost impossible to do in the first place* |
another option is to download it in two parts. put them both in one directory, then open a dos prompt(it can be a dos box or a restart, doesn't matter, or it can even be through a bat file):
Copy /b "runner1.ZIP"+"runner2.ZIP" "runner.ZIP" anyway, heres the first one, i'll make another reply with the second. DO NOT TRY TO OPEN ONE OF THESE INDIVIDUALLY! IT WILL NOT WORK. You can, however, open it after downloading both and typing that line above in any form of dos prompt. |
part 2 of runner.zip
btw sorry if this seems like too many consecutive posts, read them to find out why they're there if you want to know |
Naw, the double posting is alright in this case, since you can only attach one file per post. Don't worry about it; you won't get banned or anything.

is those 8 screens getting boring? here's a preview of Sloganian Lands, it's only four screens... i mean three screens sorry. I keep making that mistake for some reason. Why don't you just download the four... i mean three more screens. this is a standalone abe it level pack and does not need the original to run.
|
For some reason it aint working, i haven't download those files named "runner.zip" yet. Are they what's needed to play the files? Because I downloaded LTPB (or something like that) and it wouldn't reconise the .BAS files...
Alcar... |
yes you need the runner ones, and they run PKGS not BAS's(there's PKG versions available)
and what's this LTPB stuff? if it's not by interplay it's not what you need to run the BAS ones. If it's by interplay, it will run the BAS's but not the PKGS the runner runs the PKGS for ya. |
i can't extract runner1 or runner2 cuz it's splitet
