Photoshop (or something similar)

Hello. I want to be able to color my scanned drawings but I don't have a good program. I was wondering if any of you know any sites were I can download something similar to Photoshop. I was going to buy the program but it's a bit pricey for me right now.

So can anyone help me out? I want to be able to do layering so that I can include lots of detail such as shading, light effects, etc. The programs I have right now are a pain to use.

Thanks.

I know theres the "GIMP" software you can get for free. Lampion has a topic with a couple drawings that he made using it, you might like it. I believe it was GIMP.com, but since I'm not interested in art that much, and I don't have it, I don't know for sure.
