I got a DVD with NGC today. There was a bit of Zelda in a video of E3 and Link had his own little video all about him. It's looking great.

I like Link on Majora, he looks a slight different then he looks on Ocarina of time. I've heard that the story in the GC version is wird!?
But lets hope it's fun anyway. The older Zelda games is a legend, but will the new ones keep the Legend alive`? |

i also hated how he looked at first, and i didnt really care for the cel shadin either, but now im beginnin to lik the cel shadin. i also noticed they shrunk his head a lil (at first hey looked lik that arnold kid from Nickelodeon) and first he had these puppy dog eyes that reelly freeked me out but they changed that to. this game is reelly startin to look up:)
EDIT:did any1 notice that the second pic thats up there is of Adult Link fitin the 1st boss of OoT, Gohma, but in the gam, only Young Link fits him |
i agree that the new look of link and the game is not very pleasing, but it aims more at a younger group and this is the reason for the different look to the game.................i think the first ever game zelda for nintendo still is the "best"........................what quality gameplay and clever music it has.....................

Alright...prehaps I am starting to get 'used' to the new look...but FYI here is a pic of what Zelda for the GC was going to look like before they went to cel shading.

Is it just me, or does link look a like a girl? I think those extra shadings an lightning also makes him look like he has make up on.
On that picture atleast. I havent checked the others, but I've seen a bunch. Yes I noticed Adult link was fighting Ghoma. But the user might have Game Shark, so... Edit: Oh dear Navi, do quote me! What in the world is that!? *points at the pic with ghoma and lookes at the item on C+down.* It lookes like a diamond thingy spiral. Wierd and scary. |

I am DEFINATELY going with Dragadon on this one. Those pictures on the link were of much higher quality and artistic beauty. They looked better, much more realistic.
The problem with Zelda was that he was in a time in which their was no machine to make him and all the people he meets abso friggin lutely believable and eawesome looking. It seems to me that the original working version of Zelda could have not only looked better but have a more adult flavor to it, but the head haunchos didn't want that. They took the cheap way out and cel shaded it to avoid work and keep the kiddie market. And even if this is the most incredible game play wise that still won't make it look less like a crappy computer generated version of Japanimation. This game will in all likeliness be an incredible game, but who will want this instead of Metroid Prime? Do you know how much shit nintendo will have to eat because they made Link look like a china doll? It makes no sense, if I were a manager of nintendo I would want to shake off this "PS2 and XBOX are for your older brother, now shut up and play the Gamecube" stigma. |

Samus over link any day. On a different slant, wha thte hell ever happened to a good old fashioned 1st person shooter. What I would give to have a good one for the Xbox, with all the efffects and shading and shnazzy reflections and simulated surrond sound. One can only hope. Mechassualt does look interesting though.

I think that the best Zelda game ever is Ocarina of Time, it got everything, good characters, it's not to easy, pretty good story and good music!:fuzwink:
