The MO Rent-A-Cop
In MO, for us who have played it, the first enemy is the slig, with his slogs. The newspaper reads "Rent-A-Cop missing", implying that he was hired. Form what we've seen and the games and knwo about the Slig/Gulk relation, the sligs go straight to the Gluk, right? I'm curious as to the whole thing, if Skyllia loans out sligs for a profit, or if he was renegade or something... Any ideas?

Well as we know Glukkons will station any Slig where it is necessary. One thing that may be a factor is that a gluck hired a rent-a-cop for protection of the boxes behind him. the employer may have been a pud and could only higher a rent-a-cop to do the security needs. in a complete aspect the rent-a-cop system may be one created for the lesser Glucks.?:fuzconf: or perhaps it is a system to insure cheaper securty but only as a rented aspect.
|
Skillya most certainly profits from allowing the glukkons to use her children for whatever purposes they deem necessary. But some sligs do excape the "slig security guard system" and get other jobs, some with more freedom than even some of the glukkons have.
|
Renegade sligs, thats an idea. That actualy in my mind puts the idea of a slig militia or something, another force to combat the Glukkons besides the Muds. Possibly spies, or relations to the natural sligs? I do find that interesting...
|
Well it is possible that Sligs like many other creatures can all be renegades but it is not to my understanding that they would counter the Glukkons in anyway. seeing how the glucks are quick to influnce the sligs at birth, and Skillya would not find it amussing to see her children turn against her supporters the Glukkons. But perhaps there are one or two renegades but i still like my theory.

maybe theirs an underground slig force that will qpper in another game, and help out abe and munch or 1 of the new heroes.... maybe its made up of albino sligs (remember that cancelled gam about albino sligs?

us spirits prefer not to rise to power but to wisdom. (im with the wierdos) anyway i still like my original theory because you must realize the concequences of betrayal.

Sing it brutha! You go Armed Slig! The heck with Glukkons! *Throws down Krusty Krab hat she was wearing that was supposed to be a uniform* The heck with work! We are Sligs united! Uh-oh, um, hi boss uh...... just talking to these lovley people here and um..... *Runs* Well back to the subject, so Skillya leases out her Sligs, got that, but that Slig was a rent-a-cop, like the ones at the mall, well if she leases them out, maybe she isn't the one who picks them though. Maybe she has a special group of Sligs that are supposed to be trained in the arts of the rent-a-cop. Maybe the Gljukkon picks who he wants to hire and um....... okay I'm confused, thats all I can say for now.

Strange thought
Let's go a little more in-depth. Big-Bro sligs most likely cost more to "rent" than a regular slig. Sligs probably cost more than Interns, from what I've read. Do Glukkons breed slogs or obtain them with money as well? If Skillya is the only known slig queen, she could certainly jack up the prices of slig rentals to incredibly high levels, sort of like beer during prohibition, know what I mean? Or do you? ;)

I actually think that Interns are more expensive, which is why the Magog Cartel dosn't hire them. Especially since they have the nice deal with Skillya. The reason the Vykkers hire them is because all of the sligs work for the Cartel and they are the only species left capable of doing that type of work.
|
I read somewhere (MO Instruction booklet, I think) that Interns were practically slaves for the Vykkers, so that would lead me to believe that they aren't "rented" as sligs are. Although, think about slave trade in America in the 1800s. Slave owners did pay for their slaves. Also, Mudokon slave labor eggs were auctioned off to Glukkons. How expensive do you think Mudokon slaves are in relation to sligs and Interns?
|
I'm also wondering how they are rented off, The slig was fully armed, do the lower Glukkons supply the weapons and pants? What about the slogs... The Glukkon to? Interns most likely are just as interested in the science Vykkers conduct, or are slaves like Intern said. Interns are both scientist and guards though, are some raised for each? I remember the thread "slig education". I never read it, but whats the Intern educations? Sorry if that was discussed there...

What I Think
I imagine that the Vykkers create the weapons that the sligs use and the Glukkons rent the sligs, pants and weapons all separately. I'm just guessing but the Glukkons probably breed slogs.

I think the rent-a-cop thing was just a joke and I am sorry but just an idea, think less about the game and have more fun playing it. Think about mullock but not every single detail.

Anyone remember my "Class Structure of Mudosian Society"? I went into great detail in saying who each species represented. Basically, this was how it went:
Khanzumerz: Upper Class Glukkons: Commercial Middle Class Vykkers: Academic Middle Class Chroniclers: Bureaucratic/Legal Middle Class Sligs: Working Class (mainly representative of Soldiers) Interns: Working Class (mainly representative of Students) [I reckon there are more species that fit into the Working Class role] Mudokons: Slaves Kintos: Slaves [Ditto for Slave Class role] That's more or less it. Remember that that only works for Industrial Mudosian Society, not for the various native societies of subjugated races (e.g. Mudokons, Sligs, Kintos, etc.). |
