Cormin Garvel, Iblet Kikki and Grinn, all upcoming Oddworld characters?
 
Well over at the Infograme Oddworld Forums I just saw this posted:

I don't want to know the events that happen and stuff, but I've heard rumours of some new characters:

Cormin Garvel: A crippled Glukkon that has a mental link with Squeek and ends up helping him.

Iblet Kikki: A nervous Mudokon shaman that gives Squeek the power to become that big red thing that Abe becomes in Abe's Exoddus (not a Scrab).

Grinn: A Mudokon who never says anyhting, just grins like a fool and attacks Paramites.
What do you think about it? Do you thnk it's true? Or is it a lie, a complete and utter lie?

I myself feel that it is not trustworthy, although there is freedom to speculate.

I don't believe this. How come nobody else has heard of any of this and how come the names are so terrible? This can't be Lorne Lanning material.

Also, since when have Oddworld characters had two names? Whoever wrote that obviously thought everyone were idiots.

Yea but we don't know what Squeek is yet. Maybe he is a magog creature? We don't know. But yet that dident sound very true interesting but true? I don't know. We will have to wait to find out.

I dident recall ever turning into that red thing in AE. What is it? Ive never seen anything like that and I play it all the time. And there is one character we know that has a first and last name and he is Munch.

Yeh, Munch had a first and last name mainly due to the fact that he was a free creature to start off with. Abe didn't due to him being a slave.

Cormin and Iblet seem Oddworldish however. Their species sound wrong though.

3 reasons I don't believe him:

1)The first and last name thing. Not gonna happen.

2)Grinn. Stupidest character I've ever heard of.

3)I would trust this guy, but he didn't even know what a Shrykull is. That topped the cake.



BTW, you guys said Munch has a last name. What is it?

The descriptions of the characters are really interesting, however the names are not. I don't belive that these rumors are true at all, just made up.

Edit: His last, or first? Im not sure anyway his full name is Latamire Munch.:fuzwink:

Well we see no evidence supporting that. and i do not believe that OWI will even give it out. i highly doubt that its is true, only a rumor.

I'm certain mudokons and glukkons don't have last names because they all come from the same queens (well one for muds and one for glukkons). It would be pointless to have a last name because they would all be the same. But gabbits don't have a queen so they have last names. This guy's a liar!:fuzmad: :mad: :flames:

Grinn sounds stupid. Why would he not talk and attack paramites? And Iblet! Why do we need a new shaman? We already have the shaman from MO! I think Abe is the only one who will turn into shrykull. He did all those tests but what did Squeek do? If Cormin does help Squeek because he's a Magog creature then I don't think Iblet would be to keen on giving him the shrykull power!
