Mulholland Drive
Has anyone else seen this masterpiece of filming, by director David Lynch? If not, I urge you to rent it.
There's not much I can say about the movie without spoiling it, but the tagline sums it up rather well: A love story in the city of dreams. I'll admit that after the first viewing I had no clue what had just happened. I was about to dismiss it as a self-indulgent, incoherent piece of trash, but during the second viewing everything came together and the sense of satisfaction you get as everything clicks is enormous. |
Didn't get to see it at the cinema. Have you seen You Can Count on Me, though? That was fantastic.

No, I haven't seen that one. The title sounds familiar.
One thing: the Mulholland Drive movie poster above appears as though it's from the German version of the film, but the actual movie is in English. |
It's got Laura Linney in it (Truman's wife from that movie). Check out a good semi-review here, since you'll find it anywhere on VHS and DVD release in Australia.

I'll be sure to check it out next time I rent a video.
In the mean time, I found the online trailer for Mulholland Drive, watch it here. Tell me what you think of it. There seems to be a lack of responses, I guess nobody has seen Mulholland Drive. If it perks up your interest, let me tell you the film contains monsters, murders and lesbian sex scenes. |
A marvellous piece of work. Seen Memento anyone? Strange. :fuzmad:
