Mulholland Drive
 

Has anyone else seen this masterpiece of filming, by director David Lynch? If not, I urge you to rent it.

There's not much I can say about the movie without spoiling it, but the tagline sums it up rather well: A love story in the city of dreams. I'll admit that after the first viewing I had no clue what had just happened. I was about to dismiss it as a self-indulgent, incoherent piece of trash, but during the second viewing everything came together and the sense of satisfaction you get as everything clicks is enormous.

Didn't get to see it at the cinema. Have you seen You Can Count on Me, though? That was fantastic.

No, I haven't seen that one. The title sounds familiar.

One thing: the Mulholland Drive movie poster above appears as though it's from the German version of the film, but the actual movie is in English.

It's got Laura Linney in it (Truman's wife from that movie). Check out a good semi-review here, since you'll find it anywhere on VHS and DVD release in Australia.

I'll be sure to check it out next time I rent a video.

There seems to be a lack of responses, I guess nobody has seen Mulholland Drive. If it perks up your interest, let me tell you the film contains monsters, murders and lesbian sex scenes.
