The only thing we really know about the sea rex is... well we don't know anything except for what is obvious from the name. It is a large sea dwelling creature.

Oh yeah, and we know it preyed on gabbits before their extinction.

Here is the only pic.

Kaimana 07-12-2002 02:06 AM

That pretty much explains it. we have no further info.

Jacob 07-12-2002 02:08 AM

Think Whale, but nastier and more ferocious. The Sea-Rex is, upto now, the biggest creature in the sea (As the name 'Rex' means king and so basically 'Sea-King' is its name) it preys on Gabbits and uses its flipper like appendages to propel itself through the murky waters, using sonar to track down its prey.

Majic 07-12-2002 02:11 AM

O my, did Chirs just put more info than The Khauz? Also theres a topic in spoiler about the carcas of one in MO. Maybe one in General Discussion also.

Mr.WaterySearex 07-12-2002 02:04 PM

Thanx for the pic and info are any SeaRexe's gonna be in ME or MO

Xavier 07-12-2002 04:12 PM

MO is allready out and there are no living SeaRexes.
For ME, we suppose, but nothing is sure

Wil 07-14-2002 12:21 PM

Chris, where are you getting all this from?

Not that I disagree with what you said about Sea Rexes, I actively agree.

Actually, it would make more scence to think of a sea rex as a pleseosaurus with I think 2 spins on the back of its head. Just a guess

Kaimana 07-15-2002 03:37 AM

Yes sligster is right. I to would visualize a Sea rex as a pleaseosaur. very good comparison Sligster:D

Looks more like a whale/plesiwhatever mix to me, if that is meant to be a Sea Rex, that is. It's not the best of piccies, but if you look at one in-game, you'll see it has

Yes as you see it resembles more of a cryptoclidus. with a slightly shorter neck then a pleasiosaur. but very large. Sea Rex is a very mistirious creature.

Exept for the gaurdian in AE, but that was dead.

scrabinator 07-20-2002 11:12 AM

What dead guardian in AE?! I don't remember seeing a dead guardian.

Alcar 07-20-2002 11:41 AM

Here are some pictures of the Guardian, it's the thing that looks like an elephant:

scrabinator 07-20-2002 11:50 AM

I know that guardian. I thought sligster was talking about the Shrink. Isn't his species a guardian?

Alcar 07-20-2002 11:54 AM

Oh, the Shrinks species is Shrink. The term guardian is just given to it because in a way it is a guardian of who/what ever.

Alcar...

scrabinator 07-20-2002 12:15 PM

Okay thanks Alcar. I just got a bit confused.

Wil 07-20-2002 07:16 PM

A small snippet from The Oddworld Encyclopedia article about Shrinks:

:

Often called 'Guardian Angels' for humourlessly ironic reasons...
Guardian Angels, not Guardians. :)

And he's hardly a species, more a piece of technology.

Xavier 08-04-2002 03:57 AM

Skrinks are more depressif and dangerous for others and themself...
that's why it's ironic

i imagined a big blue snake thing with black stripes and 4 small flippers.

cool guardian, where are some pics of a live one?

sligster 08-28-2002 03:38 PM

Well, I know that Gaurdians were suspossed to protect necrum, I think, I'm not sure what killed them, but I think their all dead, and I've never seen a live one. Umm... could someone help me out here?

Kaimana 08-28-2002 03:45 PM

The Guardians are now petrified around necrum where they have protected it...From what? ..NO one knows...A good theory was that they protected it from rival tribes....Glukkon perhaps...To be more correct youll have to find out when the guardians acctually existed in Oddworldian history...When that much is done you can make a better theory of what they were guarding it from...Possibly from creatures that were just not holy enough..I dont know.

Xavier 08-29-2002 04:47 AM

I say: ask Alf because the guardians history is a to big mistery for us
