Oddworlds Industrial Titans

i would like to learn more about the factories featured in MO so I am putting up this thread in where anyone like you can stop by and drop off information about Oddworlds industrial titans. Like pics, facts, stats, and whatever else you can. Maybe along the way there will be some disputes to be discussed over.
Thank you.

You know all those places in MO got really small I can't stand it any more. All those pictures were going to be like that in the early Munch werent they? That would of been awesome to view the factories like that in the game play. That is more Oddworld like and if MO was like that then it would have been just as good and unique as AO and AE were. I got that feeling ME will be like that. Every time I see those pictures of the early Munch I am alweys thinking of ME. It's driveing me crazy I hope the next installment comes out in a year or two.

Lastly, what does the Bone Works or The Slig Berrecks look like from standing out side of them from a distance? Is there a picture of that kind of view? Xavier do you have a picture like that? If not thats alright.

Nice pics you guys, i like it, thanks. oh and paramiteabe i to hope that the next installments come out real soon.

paramiteabe I didn't post any, because there aren't any at the moment.

plus, wonder why the ones of Oddworld Universe don't work

I wounder how exactly hard the early Munch was? The picture of the Slog Hut looked like a very hard level to get threw. Much harder than what it is now. It looks like as if you got close to the place a slig would come out with a lot of slogs and then he would sick them on you. That would have been fun.

WOW!!! Look at those great pictures!:D Look how Abe was going to carry the sligs in MO! The sligs at the bottom of the guard towers have one eye on there masks like in AO and AE!

now industrial wise in MO what facility was the largest. and was Splinterz the largest and most profitable factory for the glucks in MO.:fuzconf:

Xavier 07-19-2002 07:08 PM

I read somewhere that Splinterz was the most important facility in the area...

I realy love all those pictures :)

Splinterz was the most valuable because it produced a large amount of Money and cleared the way for future Magog Factories. I really wish that Munch's Oddysee was like what it origanlly was planned to be like, but Im sure the next game will make up for it.

What I really would have liked to done was go to the early Flub fules. Where you could run around the outdoor part of the premissis and dodge Sligs gunfire by hiding behind the giant fuel orbs/canisters. Then watch the Slig either get blown up by the gunfire into the canister or just shooting holes into the canisters and letting all the MudFlub fuel leak out.:fuzwink:

Don't forget rescuing the Mudflubs by crane and blowing the whole factory up with explosives once you've finished there. It would sure have beat bankrupting the company and sneaking away to the nearest transporter...

Splinterz, producer of Old Growth Toothpicks. I would have loved to have seen teams of hardhat-wearing chainsaw-armed Mudokons wandering the lands around Splinterz cutting down trees and taking the timber to the nearest Tree Recycler.

Then fetch your buddies (who are, naturally, wearing sombrero-like sunhat thingies) and tell them to regrow the trees.

Ah, to dream...

paramiteabe 08-05-2002 12:53 PM

And don't forget the life cycles and ridding the meetles. Remember the small quick time movie that showed the Mudokins riding on the flying meetles and the slig turning the crank on the alarm. That scene looked so cool. It looked as if the the natives were about to attack the slig tower.

Plus the slig tosses and remember the sligs were supose to be abel to climb up and down ladders? I like the small slig toss movie where the slig climbed down the ladder and started smoking a cigarete. Then Abe snuck behind him and picked him up and threw him into the recyceler. Mann That was cool!:fuzblink:

Xavier 08-05-2002 05:42 PM

aren't we talking about factories?
I noticed the Flub Fuels looked realy different in the Daily deception the looked more impressioantn, I wich they get the same desing

thebomb372 08-08-2002 03:31 AM

i remember that movie i got it at someones site oddworld-web or oddworldian and i have one where he throws a slig off the tower.

Xavier 08-08-2002 07:33 AM
