Slig Education. How easy is it to teach a slig, exactly what difficulty is there, is there a rivalry with the educated and the uneducated sligs. Is there ever a conflict between the two. What jobs do the Educated sligs have and could it be possible that they could reach a relatively high status.? these are many questions to answer so take your time.:fuzsmile:

we know some are non-educated and only serves as gards.
some have a bit more experience and can be managers

then there are some sligs who aren't that educated but works on communication system.

you have also the "valet" class who are the personal guards of glukkons

the TV presentators (for game shows or news bulletins)

and finnaly you have the newspaper writers...

each of them have a different education.

No i dont think you forgot anything.but is there any conflict between the educated and the noneducated

well they are nearly the same, and I don't think the are conflicts.

but I'm sure lots of low classes sligs realy want to be a glukkon's personnal slig.

Do you think any could be Lawyers? I am, hopefully, taking Law if i get into college and so am interested in that side of it. I think it would be interesting to see Slig Lawyers and Mudokon Lawyers. The Mudokon' would be industrialised and not slaves however, quite like in my fic 'Vengence' with the armed Mudokon' working in the city.

Yeah i suppose that if sligs were trained to be a lawyer then the could do it. That would be cool to see.

but at the moment we didn't heard much about the law on oddworld.

only that it condamned the Vykkers because there "pure" sadism, and that's because the vykkers hide it with "scientific ressearch" and annimal "testing".

Khanzumers could be Sligs and Mudokons. Abe himself actually ate Meech Munchies, Scrab cakes and Paramite pies. So it isn't out of the question that Mudokons would be consumers. Obviously the Mudokons who are the Khanzumers would basically be de-sensitsed.

Jacob, Khanzumers are an actual separate species. Consumers are just anyone who buys the products.

Oh, i dint know that. I thort Khanzumers were the equivalent to Consumers and so could be anyone/thing.

No The Khanzumers are a powerful species that are on the top of the food chain.

chroniclers are probably the one who runs the banks and do the counts.
I don't think they have anything to do with Law

Surprisingly i dont see law on Oddworld only greed and hope. The riligious spooce growers and the greedy tree destroyers. Of course that just addressing one thing the industry has done. I dont see any Law?:fuzconf:

Yes but is that law just a passive threat. or are they just having a business relationship. i dont see a Universal law system in Oddworld.

I don't think sligs are educated. Why would the glukkons waste their moolah and time to teach the things? They live short lives and are okay guards because they are naturally sadistic. Why give them an education?

The exceptions of course (sligs that have media jobs) must be self educated. The reason they have good jobs is because they got off their lazy rumps and worked their way there.

well at the moment law is determined by the ones who have the most moolah.
but in the cities I think it will be a different system

I dont expect the Glukkons to educate any Slig of course other then the ones that have there own thing happening like the shows and such. As for law i agree that the ones with the Moolah are the ones that mak laws.

One time Alf said that sligs earn their names when they go to slaughter school. So they must have been educated.:fuzblink:

Slaughter School is the name of the training program that the slig guards recieve. When I said that sligs don't recieve an education I ment that they don't recieve an academic one. They are trained to be sadistic security guards. Every bit of kindness is beaten out of them.

so there is allways education for idustrial sligs?

Well im sure there are thoughs who have just been handed a gun and have been told what to pull and what to shoot at. so i truly believe that there are some none educated sligs.:D

Authotity tells a slig a mudokon is bad, the slig dunno why, but he will hurt him....

Well once Sligs prove to their Glukkon mangagers that they have a fairly decent work ethic than most other Sligs then the Glukkons may decide wether or not to educate them in some way to prepare them for slightly higher jobs that knowone really wants. Lets take Crig for example, everyonce in a while theres probably a news story out on location with some type of danger.... lets say a riot. No other reporters wanna go to the location to report the story so they just send good ol Crig!

As for education costs, I don't think educating a Slig would cost that much, the Gluks probably put them in a one day class, teach them what they need to be taught then either use them for themselves as presonal assisstance or sell them to some other company that needs them, like the Daily Deception.

Yes you are right Oddsville. it is a matter of getting as much guards as needed getting them ready to do their job as fast as possible and sending them on their way. It is a very fast process. But places like Slig Barraks have areas were Sligs can practice target shooting and many other militant things.

Maybe they don't have jobs that require an education because their species can't comprehend much, and they have very small brains.

Yes , like i said some jobs are just briefly explained to the sligs. no education at all.
