Vengence...
(OOC: For those who want more info on the background to this story visit the RPG and check out the main plot.)
Trudging in slowly, the injured and heavily beaten creature proceeds to make its way across the marble flooring. Guests, employee' and visitors alike looked up and stared at this being that was staining the shiny whiteness of the surface with black blood. The Hunter snarled, it realised that they were going to be alerting guards soon and the creature did not want anymore trouble. Not yet, at least. Its armour was peeling off and alot of it had to be welded/taped back on. The rain outside had made it worse, the silver masking tape had dampened and slowly started to peel off. This alone caused plates of armour to slowly slip and fall off, bearing scarred and cut scales. Listening, it could hear the murmers of Mudokons, the grunts of Sligs and Glukkons alike and many other unneccessary remarks from a host of specie. A sharp grunt escaped the exasperated creature as it knocked into a pot plant, the pot was heavy and never moved in the slightest, making sure that anything that knocked into it got most of the force. Mudokon Guard: "Erm, 'scuse me...do you need any help at all, mate?" Its voice was husky with a tint of fear. The creature probably knew that Hunters were immensly volatile when they are injured and close to death and thus did not want to provoke the creature in any way. Since the Hunter' sense of smell was currently disabled, as was most of its sense of touch, the creature had nothing really to go on. It didn't know if it was well armed, if it was ready to fight or how many others there were. To the Hunter it was in a new world...a world were it was no longer the top of the Food Chain. Hunter: "Cilo...Cilo...R-Recepkian." Blood oozed from the corners of its mouth from behind its mask as it uttered these words. Although it was immensly hard to understand Hunters and such things closely related to them the Mudokon thought about the last word and pieced it together with that of 'Reception' and so placed his, black leather, gloved hand on the Hunters shoulder and slowly escorted him to the Reception. It didn't take long, the stone desk of the Receptionists was only a dozen feet away or so. Mudokon Guard: "We're 'ere." The beast nodded slightly and then lifted its masked face up to were it believed the Receptionist to be. Hunter: "Vec...Vec...ter." By this time quite a crowd had gathered around this injured being and, although weary of it, attempted to help. Slig #1: "I believe it wants Vecter Harriss. The Manager on the top floor." Murmurs of agreement came from the other members of the crowd. Receptionist: "Yes...i figured that." The Receptionist was of Mudokon origin and highly strung. Her voice was clipped and full of frustration as her fingers tapped wildly at the keys. Receptionist: "He seems to be in a meeting with some HIGHLY important clientel. If you sit down i shall inform you when he has finished." Slowly the beast placed a bloodied paw on the marbled desk. Blood ran down the sides of the stone rapidly. Hunter: "V-V...ter." Receptionist: "Yes...HE-IS-IN-A-MEETING. Do you understand me...MEETING." The Receptionists tone of voice changed to that of one you would associate with a Upper Class person talking to a backward Homeless person. It was also filled with aggitation and the Hunter could hear her rubbing her hand on something...possibly a necklace. Usually at this point the creature would lash out, tear its victim's face off and procceed with its plan. However, the past week had been literally a nightmare and it hardly had the strength to move. Let alone kill. It stepped back, knocking into one of the crowd members. It then tilted its head to oneside and listened. Listened to the low humming that came from Elevator doors. Staggering over to the sound, the Hunter now realised it was too close to its prize to even think about giving up. The sound of the Bellman stating that the lift was going up gave note that the plan was in jeapordy. The other lifts were on different floors and seemed to have many passengers in them. Slig #2: "The chairs are over this way, old boy. Come along." The sound of the Sligs muscles stretching out was enough to trigger the Hunter to leap. And it did so, in magnificent grace and manner the creature lunged itself forwards. Its body propelling through the air. And as it sailed through it secretly prayed for the lift to be travelling up and down in a glass tunnel, like many company's have these days, possibly even the lift itself to have glass walls. It did. And as the people carrier moved upwards the Hunter shattered through the glass. Its armour plates shifting and giving way a little as it hit the lifts bronze floor. A startled gasp came from the crowd aswell as the Bellman and the passengers. Slowly the Hunter stood to its feet. Passenger #1: "Bartholemue...do something...please(!)" The female Ariphité' voice was full of fear and dread. Hoping her mate, or the Bellman, would do something. Neither of them did and it wasn't long before all three of them were hurtling out of the lift and down to the ground. Into the sea of onlookers. By this time the whole building was on alert. Slig Guards had run out to see what was going on. Hired Orkhids were evaluating the area and Gunned-up Mudokons were awaiting orders. *Bing* The Lift stopped on the floor the first lot of passengers wanted, the Hunter could hear Sligs jogging down the corridor. Their guns cocked and ready to take aim and destroy anything hostile they encounter. Beating the wall with its paws the creature tried to find the buttons to each of the floors. Finally it found the control panel and ran its fingers up the grooves of the buttons until it found the top one, in which it pressed. The doors grinded shut and the lift continued to move upwards. *** Orkhid Troop: "This is Isré, we have a suspected Hostile heading towards managements office. Approach with caution, suspect could be armed and dangerous. Repeat, suspect could be armed and dangerous. Over." It listened to the response it got from another set of guards and then directed orders to a hit-squad of Snipers. *** Finally the lift came to its final destination. Floor 114. Now the Hunter had to go on memory. From what it could recall, as you exitted the lift you could turn either left or right or go straight down. Procceeding forwards would take you to the Managements office. The other two corridors took you some place else. Unknown to the Hunter. It couldn't go on memory on the base of the floor mainly due to the fact that the whole ground floor was being renovated and re-designed. Hence its disorientation. Its feet slapped the ground hard, squelching more blood out of the cuts opened on the base of the soles. It then headed forwards rapidly. The footsteps of Mudokons and Sligs could be heard from either side of the corridor and the Hunter did not want to go down yet. With outstretched arms the Hunter closed in on what seemed to be its only goal in its lifetime and as its palms hit the gigantic metal doors, and they swung open, it realised this was the time. Vecter: "What...What is this...Can't you see i am busy(!)" The Glukkons voice was full of anger, obviously he had turned off the alarms in his sound proof room whilst he spoke to his clients. An advantage for his killer. Two of Vecter' guards, both Sligs, cocked their guns. Laser sight pin-pointing the Hunters head. Ignoring the dented and half rusted Armour. The two Intern Clients who were cuttently sat in swivel chairs shot up startled, knocking the chairs back and on their sides. Vecter: "What do you want!? Eh, what!?" A rustling of laughter escaped the creatures lungs, it now let plates of armour slip from its body. The first to go was an entire leg plate. As this hit the ground, it beared not the normal, green/blackish skin of a Hunter, but silver and bulky. Masking tape had enveloped the leg and the skin looked to be like that of a Obeise Cretin. At first Vecter was puzzled but then as his fear engulfed him more he began to think more...and then he realised what this was about. The Hunter had previously bought a new set of Armour. Vecter had, then, praised the metal, speaking of its durability and light-weightedness. The buyer was, obviously, oblivious to the fact that these were all lies and that the Glukkon had sold him highly flawed goods. Vecter: "Please...s-sit down." The breast plate dropped to the floor with a clattering. Vecter saw what this was...it was a Suicide 'mission'. Masking tape covered the entire body of the being...taping highly destructive Grenades to its skin. The Interns backed closer to the two Slig Guards who were in pure fear themselves. Vecter: "P-please...lets come to some arrangement...eh?" He smiled hopelessly. The Hunter was naturally blind and thus could not see the mask of remorse the Glukkon wore. Orkhid Troop: "Freeze!! Get down, NOW!!" The Hunter was pleased...its claws shot out...it was time. With a loud and powerful screech that basically meant it was going to attack, it scared the guards into firing. Vecter: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...!! STOP!!" The bullets penetrated the weak sheet of metal armour covering its back. And as the Hunter listened to the fear ridden cry of Vecter and the drilling of bullets into metal it realised that Death had helped him take out a traitor. And now all that the lone, weak Hunter had to do...was die. *Explosion* *Setting: Debris of brick and metal shatter outwards into the city. The hovering cars that pass through the darkness are shook and glass of other nearby buildings shatter. Inside the building the crowd that had once been focused around the Hunter were dispersing rapidly. The Snipers were running for cover and everyone was now in danger. It was like something out of a terrorist attack, the top half of the building was collapsing rapidly, the world seemed to be coming to its end (Think of the September 11th attacks and thats basically what its like.).* ~End~ (OOC: Apologies for longness and crapness. Im tired and want to go to bed. I'll check/edit bits when i wake up.) |
