fuzzles and gabbits
i thought munch and his fuzzles were under used in the grand scheme of things in MO. i was a little sad that there was nothing you could do with them besides make them attack. sadly i used abe alot of the time just because it was easier. abe can jump and run where are munch needs to find a wheelchair or its a pain in the butt. even around water it was just easier to jump the platforms then to try and brave sligs on the other side of the water with munch. i would really like to see the fuzzles do more. it also seemed like there were less fuzzles than scrubs (i would love to know if anyone has a fuzzle/scrub ratio from the game)
i also think it would be neat if next time around you could have gabbits and fuzzles and muds follow munch at the same time whlie leaving abe somewhere safe (i was sad that you couldnt get mix matched followers unless you spoke to the person you werent.) any thoughts? |
Well if i was to get picky then i would say that i to believe it to be easier to get everyone to follow one person like you said scrubs and fuzzles. I didnt really have a problem with how many what munch could andn could not do because you can clearly see he just aint for jumping. but i do agree with you on the last one.

I think that their should be a larger variety of fuzzles in the next game, each with their own special needs. You would have to save blind ones (from ChillPill testing), fat ones (BabyChow) and others.
|
Yes that would be good and interesting to see.
|
yea i like the idea of having special saving procedures for different fuzzle dillemmas
|
Yes, in Abe's Exoddus, Abe had to deal with emotional Mudokons, it makes a logical step to include Fuzzles with special needs in Munch's Exoddus.
I think Fuzzles and Mudokons only being able to follow Munch and Abe respectively is a decent thing - sure it can be annoying, but since Fuzzles don't really respect Mudokons and Mudokons find Gabbits hilarious it makes perfect sense. But I agree that Fuzzles should definitely have a more important role in the future. I also think Munch should be responcible for other lab-rat animals like Meeps and Meetles. |
abe for the slaves...
munch for the tested ones... makes sence TheKhanzumer I didn't know they were blind of chill pill? they are just.... hum... happy |
Check out Smiler (I think it is) at the hacked version of the Vykkers Labs web site, Xavier.
And by that reasoning, Abe will be responcible for saving Kintos, which I like the idea of. |
:
they only can't open them |
Where the heck did I get Smiler from? I've got a list of Oddworld characters sitting right in front of me*, for Pete's sake! I'm so strange sometimes.
For easier production of The Oddworld Encyclopedia, you understand. |
I understand.
I do the same work as you... but in french, for my site. My work is in fiches for everything on Oddworld (big work) BTW: VykkersLabs.com isn't anymore on internet |
Oh Great Mother Odd, what happened to it? There was no warning, and it was up not that long ago!
Fiches? My French vocabularly tells me that's paper, right? |
don't worry.
I downloaded this site (haked version and repareted version, not the original one, sorry) I will put it on my site as feature, later. what I mean with fiches is one little pge for each, here is an exemple: Elum :
|
Aha, I see. I hope your fiche for Meep has the plural as 'Meep' not 'Meeps'. :fuzwink:
Yeah, I see what you mean. While I can remember every single creature, character, environment, factory and native building in alphabetical order, I find it helps to have lists scattered about. |
oh I made a mistake for the meep then.
can you PM me that list? or do you want to keep it exclusive for your encyclopedy? |
Well it's not really very impressive. Just a few alphabetical lists. Nothing you couldn't do yourself if you just sat down and did it. However, I will just post up my creatures list for all to see:
:
|
well I know all of them
you forgot one... :D the I%ers... http://www.womengamers.com/revprev/a...ld/Raymond.gif |
1%ers... I wonder what that term means. Perhaps it is an American or video game expression for something. Any guesses?
Oh, and note the blueprints for the early Mug design. Pretty sweet, huh? |
Yeah, I have this pic in a magazine that show that and some other really strange creature that I have never seen before. It looks like a chronicler but kinda birdish to. I think that it was an early Chronicler, I'll try to scan it and post it when I get back to my other house.
Oh yeah, mabye 1%ers is a catigory of creatures and they have a 1% chance of making the final cut? Edit- I almost forgot, welcome back Khanzumer!:fuzwink: |
do you mean the pic in yellow we can see on the photo?
I think I got it somewhere |
As far as I know, there is only one existing production art of a Chronicler released. It's like the existing image we have, except less squid-like and more shark-like. It was at the Exoddus Club, but Yahoo deleted our photo albums, so it is lost.
|
oooooh. :(
and you didn't saved anything? the thing (1%ers) was rumored be skillya (and I don't agree) here is a good pic of it http://www.oddworld-fr.com/banque_images/0235.jpg |
By "rumoured", you mean "someone on the forums thought it might be, and nobody knows what it really is, so they couldn't contradict them"...
Is Arzad one of OWI, or might this be an Arzad? |
well yeah, it's "someone on the forums thought it might be, and nobody knows what it really is, so they couldn't contradict them"
it's not Arzad. look just before, it's an F. So F+arzad= Farzad and he works at OWI plus you can see "meetle" writed at the bottom |
Arzad, now that takes me back to one of the early Vykkers sketches (probably the one with the barcode). I though that that Vykkers's name was Arzad. He he. Oh well, good times.
|
Arzad.
well yeah it can do a good creature name. I never tought about. I derectly saw it was Farzad. realy cool signature (wow there is a date too: 25 september 1998) |

yes I know
and Abe Babe had the same picture in bad resolution with Mug on it. but it doesn't look like a Mug. This thing is only a concept who waits for a place in a game and a original name |
