The modem on my computer died!
Which majorly sucks as that was on the computer I have all my art stuff on.
Hmm? Then why am I posting this now you ask? I have two computers with internet capabilites and I have them daisy chained via modem. Anyway...I need to rebuild that computer anyway...its been majorly acting up on me lately. (system freezes/crashes, difficulty logging onto the net, etc) I need to get rid of the Superdisk drive in it...as it has caused nothing but problems. (anyone familiar with a Floppy disk fail (40) error at boot up? I have been having that error ever since I first got that computer...and I think its the stupid Superdisk drive that is causing it) Like...having the computer think there is both an A and B drive when there isn't! (BTW...the only floppy drive that works is the B drive...and thats the Superdisk drive...its SUPPOSED to be the A drive!). Oh that right...I need to replace the video card too in it...as I currently have only a Voodoo 3 and Voodoo no longer exists...so I need to get a new card. So currently I am transfering all my files to this computer I am on right now (mostly pic and doc files) which is a lot newer and the warrenty on it is still good. Meh...sorry...I needed to let this out...if anyone has anytips or advice I am listening. (due to my job I have some computer skills when it comes to 'installing/fixing' them.) |
