Mac the Janitor 06-19-2002 04:12 AM

Very cool...
They would never accept me, though; I'm probably too young.:(

Alcar 06-19-2002 05:36 AM

Im seriously thinking of a job at Oddworld in the Fan Relations/Website department. Of course i would have to move there too!

Alcar...

Oddsville 06-19-2002 11:19 AM

When I get old enough Im gonna travel down to California and apply for a job as a Graphic designer.

Xavier 06-19-2002 12:48 PM

I would realy like to be story writer or just help to keep it coherent and playable.
That would be a crazy job!

Alector 06-19-2002 04:57 PM

After studying art....
I want to go there, but my father would be very sad about it. It's his nightmare that I move to America, away from my family. Oh boy, that's the circle of life.:fuzemb:

And Xavier : I think it's not only a crazy job, it's also a hard job....

yup but when you love your job it allways look less harder! And I think I would love it! :)
and yeah In game characters designated by alector could be pretty nice, but it's a hard work too :D

My dream is to work at Oddworld Inhabitants, but I don't have the skills in game design.

However, I have already sent my resume into Oddworld a few months back, so maybe one day that will be able to become a reality. Like Alcar, the job I'd love would be to work in fan relations or on their website. Although there is likely nothing available there as everyone seems to be doing an excellent job already. So I'd be content with an administrative/office job. I'll just have to see if anything ever becomes available or if my application is the type of person they are after. One of my strongpoints is my dedication! :)

(Writing this from the US, as this is where I am currently at).

Like Xavier already said, they are located at San Louis Obispo, I could tell you the details of the exact street name and address, but then Alf might -accidentally- drown me.

But for your information, the last time I checked they were on the second floor of the building. But that was some time ago, they might have moved...

They're above a clothes shop?! That's rather deflated my expectations.

Alcar 06-21-2002 10:33 AM

I dont think that is the real Oddworld Inhabitants, i think Xavier is pulling our legs...

From what i've seen of Justins photos they have a very nice and big place. It looks like a place in Europe too me...

Alcar...

Xavier 06-21-2002 12:57 PM

Alcar..
it's a real photo a found on an article about OWI...
but I dunno if it's realy OWI

Oddsville 06-21-2002 02:05 PM

It must be a joke because I have a picture of OWI and on the front door it says Oddworld Inhabitants with the logo and all, it even has a sign next to the door with the same thing and it dosn't mention anything about a cloths shop?

Xavier 06-22-2002 11:03 AM

yes... I saw that photo too...
I dunno what's the photo I posted then

Wil 06-22-2002 12:02 PM

Oh look, it's Ross. I know a couple of forum members who might find that amusing.

In light of Xavier's post (below), I've noticed that both pictures display doors with the same decorative style. I don't know if people in America like to have whole streets of buildings that look the same, but if not, then I'd say that's the same building in both pics.

Xavier 06-22-2002 12:12 PM

here is that pic of the door

Majic 06-22-2002 08:28 PM

As far as I've seen all strip malls, plazas, connected office buildings etc... are all designed to look like one building. Very possible there is the ground floor and the offices just extend upstairs over Ross. Cool, I've never seen pictures of OWI.

Xavier 06-23-2002 04:58 AM

I think I saw somewhere that the studois where on the second floor, so my photo is maybe right :D

(for those who read the desingers diaries)

Alcar 06-23-2002 06:39 AM

It definately IS Oddworld Inhabitants, i've looked and compared and it really is it. I was doubful at first because from the pictures i've seen, the place looks very big while the image Xavier posted made it look like a small place.

Alcar...

Xavier 06-23-2002 06:47 AM

thank you Alcar...
you know I never post thing I know they aren't true, for this photo I wans't 100% sure

btw: the window and the door have the same color/desing

Alcar 06-23-2002 06:57 AM

Yes i've compared both of these, look at the red circles:

Both the red circles match up. Mystery solved...Ah...Lets all go home now...:S

Alcar...

Xavier 06-23-2002 07:04 AM

good work...
I forgot about that picture of Pilot.

so Oddworld Inhabitants is above a cloths shop... pretty strange.
