Im just doing this for fun so bear with me. What do you think of the fourm members friends, family, or Weird and Freaky people you met on the internet?:fuzsmile:

Well...I've pretty much lost interest in oddworld...I come here for the people, mainly.

I voted for friends but that is the same thing as weird strangers. I can't really consider any of you really good friends but there are quite a few of you who seem like people I would get along well with. I would like to meet some of you in person but that is probably impossible. Hopefully some of you think I seem like I would be cool to hang out with (here's wishing). Some others members though... let's just say there are a couple members on here who I don't like very much, mainly because they are annoying or rag on things such as my religion (which no one here has done on purpose).

Well you really can't rank everybody as a whole, because each person is unique in their own way, I like Dave just come here for the people now oddworld does not mean that much to me anymore either. The majority of people are friendly around here, a delightful place :)

It's not like everyday you get to talk to people all around the world. That is one of my reasons why I like it here. Plus I would consider the members here like friends. Internet buddies, someone to talk to when bored. I guess if we all were to go on that Oddworld tour then I guess we could become even better friends. So you really never know that in the future we might see each other in some way. Pilot did say that tour they were going on was not the last and that they will do it again but will see us who never could see each other before.

Thats the only way I can see where we could become closer friends and know each other more. I don't like to be a stranger to people I like getting to know new people all the time.

I had to vote weird and freaky people on the Internet because I'm a newbie and don't know all of you as much as I'd like to. However, I bet in time when I get to know you all better, I'd consider you as good friends. :)

I've yet to encounter anyone on Oddworld Forums who lack any redeeming features.

I enjoy having internet friends. I know about three people through ICQ from different parts of the world whose friendships I value just as much as the friendships I have in real life. For example, I've been corresponding with a forty-five year old woman from Oklahoma for the past five years and we've shared a lot of things.

I think online friendships are simplified versions of real-life friendships, and that's what makes them so appealing. Some of the obligations you might feel in real life don't exist when you're communicating through text.

A lot are friends but most are weird people. So I voted weird people.

Guess what i voted...yes...Family. Yeh, so...after being immensly sarcastic i voted weird people. Mainly because i prefare people who i have things in common with. Drinking, going out, exams, friends etc. The people who are on my MSN contax list are the people i consider normal...ish. Most people on the Forums are 'Oddworld Crazy' a disorder which effects many who have been infected with the 'Abe/Munch/Squeek Syndrome' and so i dont really have much in common with them. Also, they are either physically young or mentally young. Which is a shame.

It was hard, because I do consider several people on the forums to be Friends, but I don't consider them nearly as close as my friends in real life (for obvious reasons).

I have actually met one member of the forums in Real Life: Tom came for a day trip to York once, and we met up for a while. I don't think I'll be repeating the experience, though; Tom is far more interesting online... ;)

Well I guess odd people like Oddworld hence the word odd. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy I am odd!:lol:

Perhaps I was overly sentimental in my last post. If you got the wrong idea, let me clarify: I value online friends against a completely different criteria used in real life.Is this the first you've mentioned the meeting, or have I just missed it somewhere else? I sense discomfort. Details please!!!

I think we've mentioned it in passing. Wasn't much to say, really. He only came down for a short afternoon, so there wasn't time to do anything fun, so we just came back to my house and he spent the afternoon complaining about how shit my computer is...

I had to vote weird and freaky because the more I go to the forums, the more weird people are coming up there.
What's odder than a lot of kids who are dreaming of to meet up Abe, or thinking that Oddworld exists, or even start 'loving' Muds, Sligs, Glukkons ect.
Which rational thinking human does such a thing? *gasp* I meant, I'm not against the OFM; Myself I'm one of them and I'm a real fan of it.
If I weren't a fanatic, I wouldn't start modelling Oddworld characters with modelling paste, wouldn't draw hundreds pictures, and wouldn't write a few chapter for my FF.

And I wanted to vote for friends, because since I registered here, I met forum members in the OddChat and later in ICQ and MSN. Now we're chatting 'backwards and forwards' (<~~german phrase, don't misunderstand it).

Well, don't be mad about me, I'm just a little bit dumb today (Hey! The day is at 40 degrees above zero and I'm meeeeelting!!!)

Now, I want to take a shower and go to eat more ice cream as my stomach can wear...:D
