Soulstorm Power-Ups In MO
I asked Alf this question but he sort of avoided it. But in MO if you grab any power-up you can move the camera around and see that Abe or Munch (it's easier to see it with Abe)are drinking out of a can with a label that says Soulstorm Brew!:fuzconf: Why would Abe or Munch be chuggin' Soulstorm Brew to run faster or jump higher?:fuzconf: :fuzconf: :fuzconf:

Maybe that stuff is also made by Saul Storm Brewery. Isn't there more than one Saul Storm Brewery? Because there was that Micro Brewery in MO.
|
This was just a little attention to detail that OWI chose to skip. Imagine how much time it would take to make different cans/bottles for every different type of vendo. They had other things to get done that were more important. Hopefully they will fix that in ME.
|
my theory is:
VykkersLabs devlopped the recept and a SoulStorm Brew produce it... So it's normal you can find a logo of SoulStorm on it I even saw a picture of a SoulStorm Brew Vendo, but can't remember where |
ah: here is that pic
|
I recognize klimb (between expresso and bounce), but what are the two vendos immediately to the left of soul storm brew? Apparently, a lot of vendos didn't make it to the game.
|
SnUzi and LongBuster Cigs
some armo who aren't anymore in the final game |
hopefully in ME.
Hopefully those vendos will return in ME. :fuzblink:
I also definitly want that klimb vendo to come back. I am getting kind of annoyed when you have to jump in those wells to grab all the spooce shrubs that are growingon the cliffs. It would be nice. |
yeah the fall to get spooce isn't realy exciting...
I hope to see klimb too |
I have a question. In AE, when Abe and the other muds entered the mines, did they drink Klimb first to climb over the wall. If not, why would we need it in future games? Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
|
yes I see what you mean...
but the thing on what they climed was wood with planks where you can easy clim on... with klimb you are able to clim evrywhere Edit images: http://www.oddworldian.net/images/prod_keepout.jpg http://www.oddworld.com/universe/ind...croll_cg05.jpg http://www.oddworld.com/universe/ind...croll_cg06.jpg http://www.oddworld.com/universe/ind...croll_cg07.jpg |
A Klimb! vendo was in one of the early Munch's Oddysee demos, but if you saw what it did, you probably wouldn't like it. Y'see, rather than allowing Abe to climb up walls, Klimb Java allows Abe to walk up vertical surfaces.
|
yes I saw that in some video's and it's presented as Extreme Sport in the E3 video on the official site
|
Xavier, those mudokons look awfully like they are sticking to the wood and not using their fingers to grab it. Max, I saw the Klimb vendos and I thought Abe walking up things was really dumb. Personally I think it would be cool if in future games mudokons could climb up any surfaces, like frogs or geckos.
|
hmmm
the fingers look realy like they grab it, they have big nails so it's easy for them to climb wood |
interseting but i go with the Khanzumer on that one its obvious that they were almost sticking to the walls. they also mad a kind of suction sound as they lift their feet.

Kaimana, please don't double post. Next time, use the edit button. It will allow you to add stuff to, delete stuff from, or fix any spelling errors or something to your post.

I think there is still a problem |
Perhaps this problem can not be solved however (i am the honest mud) so here i go. From what i can see they did climb the wall rather fast and Gecko like. When i first saw that video i thought that they had suction abilities much like that of a gecko. To further that theory they did climb the wall with ease. As if they are used to climbing vertical structures. However it could also mean that they did indeed grab hold of the groves of the boards. However by further examining the groves on the boards and the placement of the climbers feet and hands it seems in the most case that their feet have gone on the grooves while their hands are not allways on the grooves. This may suggest that they could have some sort of suction ability on their hands but not on there feet. You could say it would be like a evolved way to climb.:fuzconf:
Or on the other hand it could be as simple as the muds being to anxious to wait out side of the mines. |
