Dragons and th'like.

Ah, groovy, a place to display my art.

Well, let's see. I don't have anything new at the moment, so I shall leave you with this: my art archive URLs.

This one is my older archive at a site called Side7...

http://www.side7.com/cgi-bin/S7SDB/Archive.pl?ANO=3769

... and here's a place that's quite a bit more selective of its members called Elfwood. It's geared toward mythology artists and junk. My two idols, Sidian and Psycrowe, are on Elfwood! *Bows to the almighty dragon artists*

Yay... I promise I'll have new stuff up, and I'll post it on these forums using my MSN Picture-It site, so that you don't have to go to an annoying URL.

I love your work, Em. You're so good at drawing dragons and other beasties, and you're far better at drawing with a mouse than I could ever hope to be. Keep up the good work, *puts on DJ Rahzel's voice* we wanna see something new!

Great work, my favourite ones are the black and white pencil drawings.

That digital drawing of the slig is excellent! :)

Black Dragon 06-14-2002 12:48 PM

Thankee, you two. Aye, I have gotten better at computer-inking, but I'm still not satisfied. :fuzemb: I really don't like my computer-drawings that much (though I have one in the works that should be done shortly) as always get a rediculous un-realistic shading look on them. Argh!
However, everyone seems to like those pencil drawings of mine, so expect many more in the future. They're easy for me to do too, yay! Also expect more colored pencil-drawing as well, I like doing those. :) Thanks for the comments! It's nice knowing that people actually take the time to look at my work.

Disgruntled Intern 06-14-2002 05:58 PM

wow! I loved everything! You have a very unique 'style'..I like it a lot! :D

Black Dragon 06-27-2002 12:45 PM

Oh yay, something new if anyone cares.

*Insert rant here*

Bleh, every time I draw a pic, I either lose interest in it or think it's total crap!! I can't understand how some people can turn out picture after picture, when I can't even produce one a week!! ARGH!!!! *Bangs head on wall about a dozen times*

Adinar

The description is self-explanatory on that page. Basically a random doodle that turned out to be something rather neat.

One, Two, Middlesboogie 06-27-2002 03:20 PM

I like him, he's got a good body design.

Black Dragon 07-01-2002 02:27 PM

Thanks, Anna, for caring enough to respond. I appreciate it a lot. *Sighs* Ok, my first attempt at a humanoid - Unopa in her Elven form.

Unopa - Elf Form

Personally, the pic scares me, but eh... *Runs from disturbing pic*

Black Dragon 07-01-2002 03:39 PM

Oh yay, two in one day. *Grumbles*

There. It appears the forums don't want to play nice.

Edit: Oh yeah, forgot a description. That pic's of Voltian, the ruler of one of my created species. I don't like how this one came out, but whatever.

One, Two, Middlesboogie 07-02-2002 06:12 AM

Eeek! Elven Unopa is scary! Humanoids are bloody difficult to get right, so I wouldn't worry about it. As Dequibenzo said, Rembrandt was still learning how best to draw humans when he died, and he is supposed to be one of the grooviest portrait painters ever.
I like her boots and cloak, though. :) The hair is nice and anime-like as well.

I like the Voltian pic; I think you're putting yourself down there. The highlights are excellent (I'm still learning how best to do highlights, and I can hardly do them at all by hand yet). He looks like a character from Dynasty Warriors 2. Verra nice... keep up the proverbial magna opus!

DarkHoodness 07-02-2002 07:55 PM

Heh! Better looking then the Unopa in Hogs of War, thats for sure. :) And I can almost imagine Voltain as if he was real. . .
Great work! :D

*Yawn* Alright, a new picture that I did when I was REALLY bored. Moo.

http://www.side7.com/cgi-bin/S7SDB/D....pl?INO=170373

This one is a self-portrait of my spiritual side. Yes, I do look rather demonic, but that is due to my combination of three creatures within one: dragon, wolf, and human. Oh yay.

Sl'askia 07-07-2002 07:18 PM

Squeee! Pretty Tri-form!

One, Two, Middlesboogie 07-08-2002 11:16 AM

Wow! That's just gorgeous! I love the fur; it looks really rich and velvety. And I like that shade of crimson... it's very 'luxurious', for lack of a better word.

And who said demonicness was a bad thing? ;)

Danny 07-08-2002 06:34 PM

Unopa seems to have gone a bit overboard on the mascara in that elf-form... ;)

Black Dragon 07-08-2002 09:58 PM

Anna: Thankee. I am rather pleased with that one. Hehe, true, it isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Dan: I know, that picture is so FRIGGIN' scary... I think it needs to die. *Gets shifty-eyed**Grabs knife* Wonder why I even drew it...

Majic 07-08-2002 10:13 PM

Wow, I take it you like dragons? Very well done dragons, mesa like:)

Teal 07-12-2002 11:06 AM

*tries again* Computer froze, last time.

Methinks Dan means eyeshadow... ;) But then,. I don't know what he gets up to in his spare time...

Em: Tip the nose down and forwards and add give her a leer, then she'll look scary... You just need a piano, now. (sorry. ;))

Cool anyway. I had typed a better reply than this, but with el crasho I lost it. Pants.

TheBlueScrab 07-12-2002 08:37 PM

Very cool pictures.
I like your drawing style.
Keep drawing.
