How long will it take for the whole Oddworld quintology to be in stores and realiesed
 

I think it will take another 20 years or so for the whole quintology to come out. I mean if it took almost 5 to 6 years for these first three games who knows how long. How long do you think?:fuzblink:

I think between 10 and 20
but maybe they will go faster now

My theory is 2 years between each "Oddysee", with an "Exoddus" in the gap.

thus, given that MO came out in 2001, the last oddysee would come out in 2007 (with an exoddus the year later).

This is supposing that they don't have any huge delays like the ones caused by changing to 3d and changing to Xbox

You people are crazzy!!!... 20years... even 10years... I mean jease Lorren and Sherry will be 'Odd damn' generatrics by then (or at least comparitivly to their fans)!!!

How do you think that any company could deliver such a product over such a huge time scale so consistantly with out going bankrupt 10 times over?

Once they get the swing in to it they will be pumping out a game less then every year...

... The quintology is only a small part of the total Oddworld plan after all and Im sure the people who make it now will like to live to see it end!!! (I dont mean to be overly offencive to OWI, but im trying to stress my point... plus it just comes naturally to me :D )

Even OWI must not think that it will take too long to make each game because they still have 4 more games contracted with the Xbox... And the Xbox has only about 4 and a half more years of viable life... And when you consider that OWI has always had a emfisis on having the best technology they will not want to still be part of the Xbox after it becomes low tech... And if they want to get to the top of the game early they will bail out on to the PS3 in 3 years (which they can only do once they met the terms of their contract with Microsoft)...

In other words they will probly finish the quintology in 5years or less. 5years is far more realistic then 10years onwards.

Since they are rebuilding the A.L.I.V.E. engine again (spedifically for the Xbox), it may take a while before the next game. I think, though, after they have that building block to start with, they may be able to get games out sooner.

Remember after the Quintology there are the Habitales and Fearietales, and don't forget the movies.

I put 20 years although I think it will be somewhere inbetween, something like 15-18 years. But Im sure that after the Quintology there will be even more epic series (not including the Habitales and Fearitales.), after all everyone at OWI says that the Quintology is just the tip of the iceberg!:fuzsmile: :fuzblink:

Ten years is wayyyyyyy to long. Final Fantasy games, come out 1 every year. Fiancially 10 years sounds too long. Unless Microsoft contiunes buy oddworld over the next 10 years, and pay for all thier game development, without worring about profit. Then 10 years sounds cool. 4 years they'll all be out or drastically change...

i think there actually working on a way of making themselves live forever befor they carry on with there plans for the seiries. cause if there not it might never get finished (with all the movies and stuff to think about too)
