In the Navy! (of Pakistan)

Alright, I'm stumped. I can't figure out if this is real. Oh sure. It looks like a real recruiting website, but all of you Final Fantasy fans, listen to the music! :D

It looks real, the URL looks real. I don't know if the music is from an actual FF game (can anyone confirm this?) but it sure sounds like it could be.

The music does sound like it could be from a console RPG game like FF. Would need a real FF fanatic to confirm if it is though (AB? What's your call?).
As for the rest of it....if it was really a recuiting site...wouldn't be in their national language instead of english? I mean...I know english is a well known language outside of the USA, Britian, and Iriland(sp)...but why would they be aiming a recuiting site for their military at us? We don't do that with our recuitment methods (heck...one of the requitements to get into the military here is that you have to be a US citizen.)

If you look at Japanese websites you'll often find lots of English. There also seems to be plenty of English in the streets of Japan too from some pictures I've seen. It's not far-fetched that Pakistan is predominantly an English-speaking country or at least people who can read English will be in the majority.

I've been in Japan and not all of the areas are English. My friend is from Pakistan. Maybe i will ask her if there are alot of English-speaking people there.

I'm almost positive the music is from FF8. Of course, a confimation couldn't hurt...

English is a common language in Pakistan because England occupied it and made it part of the British Empire in the 1800s. It was annexed to British India and didn't become Pakistan until 1947 when India was split up. I believe the native language is Urdu, though.

Yes, the music is definately from FF8 ... it is the main battle theme, otherwise known as Don't be Afraid. One thing I do know is my FF music! ;)

So if it is an official Pakistan Navy site, why use music from FF8? But to have a domain name like that it'd have to be somewhat official one would think.

It sounds like some kind of superhero organisation, where the members have a titanium/perspex floating headquarters and they sit around a table receiving messages from evil villains through a giant television.
