Xbox 2 coming soon!
 

I was reading in a magazine and it said that there will be a new Xbox out soon, an Xbox 2!

The reason for this is because the team at microsoft said that THE XBOX IS TOOOO SLOW!

And they are going to change the controllers too, make them like the playstation ones, because people have complained they hurt their hands after an hour or so of play, even microsoft agree!

So i am gonna wait to Xbox 2!!!!!!

I have also read about an Xbox 2 but I think it will still be called the Xbox since its going to look the same but have different controllers and hardware.

More like just an Xbox updated version, I had a feeling microsoft would do something like this.
Its like when they bring out new PC's, p4 1.5ghzs then a week later a p4 2.0ghzs.

Am I the only one that finds the controller one of the best ever designed? I've been told I have long fingers, maybe that's the reason it fits into my hands so well, I don't know? I just know the PSX controller ticked me off because it got sweaty and SLIPPERY real quickly, which the XBox controller has not been doing to me.

So I don't see myself interested in the XBox2/XBox Upgraded.

1. Yep. It's the best controller ever! Almost floorless.

2. Good point, I didn't notice that until now. The Xbox controller doesn't have any of the floors the PSX controller had.

Great here we go again OWI is probally going to put the next few games exclusive on X-Box 2 because of Microsoft. Not saying thats a bad idea but That means I got a PS2, an X-Box, now soon I will have to get an X-Box 2. Yeppie more game counsols. Mann Microsoft should hold off on that for at least awhile now. I am not dissing X-Box or Oddworld at all. It's just that they are moveing to different game counsols that sometimes I just don't know what counsol they are planning to put the game on. They should just stick with X-Box 1 and maybe later make more for the second one. But we don't know for sure what OWI has plan in the wake of this. Lets hope it's good.:fuzblink:

Isn't their contract with X-Box? I'm sure the upgrade is one so they can make the game for XBox, but it'll just work a bit better on XBox2 or whatnot.

I mean, if the only update is that it'll have faster loading times... hmm. I doubt they'd make the effort to recode what basis of ME they have so far for it.

Maybe it's wishful thinking.

Yup, I agree with that. I don't have large hands but the controllers seem to be shaped to my hands...

And now, when I play on a PS1 or PS2, I have the feeling the controllers have shrunk..

AND PLEASE! LET THEM CANCEL THE IDEA OF AN XBOX 2!!!

nope, i love the Xbox controller it rules, hope they dont make Xbox 2 too soon, im going to stick with Xbox 1 it rules

I suppose it will not be that long util it is released. It is only an upgrade of theXbox, so they might call it Xbox V.2.

According to this article it is September.

I just hope that it is what is sounds like ... an upgrade and not a whole new console (i.e. PSOne -> PS2). Because if it is a whole new console, people are going to be very annoyed. Consoles usually have lives of several years, not one year!

And I hope that Munch's Exoddus will be able to be played on the current Xbox, and not just Xbox2... as otherwise I basically would have bought my Xbox for one game... and will have to buy another console for the next. Either that or Microsoft provides and upgrade price.

On the controllers, I too like the Xbox controller (the original)... it fits nicely in my hands and the buttons are in good locations. The PS controllers are more suited for smaller handed people.

come on people! XBOX 2 is nowhere near being released, not for at least 4 years! At least! Microsoft wouldn't be stupid enough to bring out an XBOX 2 when they just realeased XBOX 1 world wide. Don't be silly!:o :o

I wish an Xbox 2 would come out now! So i can get one, because i don't have an Xbox, well, not until about 7 months.

If that were the case I would be done with xbox, but From what I have heard xbox two will not be out for another five to six years. WHat they should do is you buy like a memory card size upgrade that you upload into you controller to add extra ram etc.

This smells like BS to me. I don't think microsoft would do something like that. If they were to release an Xbox 2 so soon, no one would buy it. Why buy a new system if they are going to make a new one in less than a year(by the same company)? That article, the way I read it, looks like it is just Microsoft trying to make the same product, but cheaper.

Any ways people would rather buy Xbox instead of Xbox two because now Xbox dropped down a hundred bucks and is way cheaper.

I like the Xbox Anna found best - I might even have bought one of them...

Ofcourse Microsoft never does anything "stupid", do they?
