Anyone here linking Munch?
 

I don't know if this is the right place to post this discussion, anyway I wanted to ask this so.... here I go! :fuzemb:

I've noticed out there that everyone likes Abe, and post lots of thing about him, but I've never seen something in this forum about Munch that is not about the game, I mean, looks like people like the game, but not him, or better, they don't demonstrate it as they do with Abe.

I like munch but I prefer Abe...
I think evrybody prefer Abe cause he have more personality

I first thought Munch was a pathetic little creature. I'm starting to like him more and more, though his lethargic way of moving ticks me off. Basically, I am now waiting for whatever comes next in hopes it tickles my fancy more than Abe or Munch, who're in a tie situation.

That being ignoring the fact I think scrabs are cool - period. :D

I actually would like Munch to get more focus. Abe's always been my favorite character but... I've kind of been leaning toward Munch lately. This gave me a couple ideas for General Discussion topics...

I love Munch. I think it's because we know Abe more than Munch.

I really am open to new creatures. I will have to get used to them, of course, but as I mentioned before: Munch and Abe are both cool in my eyes. Both in their own fields - Abe is more human, Munch is just cooler in odditude and as a queer critter with a queerer ability than Abe's.

So I don't know. I might be a Squeek fan! ^_^

Munch isn't like anything , he's just odd

I actually prefer Munch. He's a really fiesty person. Unlike Abe, he's not going to have second thoughts about jumping into a 'kinda scary well'. It's all "You get me those eggs, ya hear me!?!" for our new buddy Latamire Munch.

That doesn't stop him from being an anti-hero though. He's mocked by the Mudokons, and has less mobility on land than a Little Chef waitress.

I hope all the "heros" of oddworld will be anti-heros, it's so different and original compared to other games.

Plus the fact they don't carry guns are realy nice too

About Abe: In all of the action, thriller, etc. movies out there, the hero usually has the same qualities:
1) He's tough
2) He's buff
3) Corageous
4) Excellent fighter
5) Very handsome

But Abe is different:
1) He is always sort of paranoid
2) Look at him, he's a twig!
3) Gets freaked out easily
4) Extremely clumsy
5) Well... if you think he's handsome, uh...aheh-heh...

And I guess that's why I like him. He's clumsy, shy, ugly and scared, but he's a good guy.:)

The fact that Abe had two games, and then played a major part(quite possibly THE major part) in Munch's game... and then Munch only had one game that he was even featured in... well... Let's just say that Abe has had a bit more coverage...

I really don't have the Munch game It seems that Munch is pretty cool though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suppose you could think of Munch's Oddysee being the introductory game. We've got our familiar Abe back, and he's letting us get to grips with Munch before we see Munch as the main character.

I don't really like that, but since we haven't had an Oddworld game since 1999, I guess it could make a lot of sense from OWI's perspective.

i was a bit anti-Munch at first...he was just soooo slow. but then after a few levels i got to like him. you very rarely have to travel on land with him without his wheelchair...he gets to kill a lot of enemies and I really liked switching between characters...that was a cool addition.

i never use his sonar though, maybe that couldv'e been improved.

Oh yeah...

you just have to see the quarma section

Munch's sonar has no useful function in MO because, as everyone knows, the game is extraordinarily linear. There are no secrets, so you never really miss any Fuzzles or anything.

maybe it's a feature who will be more exploited in ME...
But I like the concet... just not useful for the reason Max explained

I've been zapped by him accidently when Abe first showed me to him but I forgave him after I wacked him in the head with my gun. We have little fist fights every now and then but thats about it. Oh and also Sligster I think this may be spam we're wrighting so I'm gonna stop now.
