oddworld movie?
 

At the end of the oddworld quiligy (How do you spell it?) will there be a oddworld movie? I'm sure about squeaks oddesy but not a movie of oddworld.:smokin:I must know or i'll go mad! :fuzmad: brought to you by soulstorm Brew our sprew is your brew and scrab cakes tha'll cost you an arm and a leg

Originally the five games of the Oddworld Quintology were going to be five movies but Lorne decided it would be better to make the games first. Don't plan on hearing anything about the movies any time soon but in a recent interview Lorne did mention he still plans on making them so they haven't been completely scrapped. I want to see Abe on the big screen.

Yeah, Lorne thought of Oddworld as movies first but then he thought about the great potental of video games and where they where heading so he decided to switch.:fuzsmile:

Yeah, I remember first playing AO and thinking, "This would make an awesome movie..." and then I heard that Lorne Lanning wanted them to be movies first, but made them games to get enough money to make the movies. (I love watching the FMVs over and over... they're so cool)

Today a guy in My class said he didn't like the in game movies of oddworld

I think some of my friends who knows Oddworld wanted to smatch his head until he said he only saw a litle part and maybe the worst...

Who would'nt like the in-game movies?!?! The graphics are awsom and even if your not playing the games and only watching the movies you still know everything thats happening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(But I still do love the gameplay!)

Even if he WAS blind...how can you not love their voices? I think it's a great thing that Lorne knew so much about movies before he made the game. He and McKenna are raising the bar for video game quality! Did you know that their animators are now using Maya, the computer animation program that made Spider Man the Movie?!? This IS the best of the best.

Oddworld is not joke. The people who make it are serious professionals. Sometime, just sit down and listen to all the FMVs all the way though without looking. The voice acting is amazing. It's better than a lot of Radio Show programs, and I speak from too much experience, believe me! Just compare it with Unshackled, my dad's favorite radio program. Sheesh! You'd think it was intended as a joke!!

BTW, No offence if any of you like Unshackled, but if you do I would advise you to see a doctor. :)

You know out of curiosity will the Oddworld movies be live action like the Star Wars prequels where they filmed it with digital cinama? and they had a person stand in for the cg characters Like they did with Jar Jar or Jabba the Hutt but it looked real not like animation or a pixar cartoon?

Just imagine Oddworld filmed like that in live action but all the characters look so real that you would not think they were CG. That would be so awesome. Mann I wish the game play was like that. That would revelutionise games forever. Who knows maybe Oddworld is headed for that.

I would love to see the Oddworld movies. With the great movie technology (CGI) and things of that sort i dont see why Oddworld wouldnt be the biggest or Oddest movie Series in history.:) :fuzblink:

I wonder if they will stay fidel to the games story or if they will change it.

Lorne said that the movies would tell much more than the game did because they would be able to show more in a feature film. He also said that the films would have a much more darker feel like Abe's Oddysee. I can't wait.
