What are the best oddworld creatures?
 

Hi i'm starting a topic on oddworld creatures, I think the best are scrabs. What does everyone else think?

Ok I changed my mind, Vykkers are the best creatures. They are the most wierd anyway.

I like sligs.They look cool,are really weird,are fun to blow up ,and remind me of my sister.

I think we have the same kind of sister :D

:) I think your right about the sister crack Xavier.My sister is living proof that sligs exist.She screams when somthin goes wrong and if she wants it ,she gets it.In that case shes almost like a 4 year old Glukkon.Sure there filthy rich and get a slig to shoot another on command but we aren't rich at all and she still gets to be treated like loyalty.You now what this isn't really about oddworld.sorry if it's spam!

I voted for sligs since I can relate to them... they are lazy and yet efficient at what they do (which, in their case, would be sadistic acts). I also think that the whole robotic pants idea was a brilliant and original idea by OWI.

P.S. I'm not sure I would consider Greeters creatures since they are nothing more than cheaply built buckets of bolts which attack the very customers they were built to give aid to.

I like Paramites =P But Scrabs are cool too :)

Greeters aren't creatures there robots anyway i voted for sligs there cool with their visor and mechanical pants and their gun

I love scrabs. Viscious, powerful, fast, deadly... and they're great dancers! *eg*

Sligs, of course!
They are cool by themselves, but they also have all of the robotic parts to make them even cooler. Plus, they are the only ones with guns:)

Y'know. I keep thinking Glukkons cannot be the personification of corporate evil. They can hardly do anything aside from walk and talk - there's got to be a creature thus more successful than Glukkons if you ask me. Like... Vykkers, for example. *shrug*

ok so greeters arnt actually creatures but they still rock exedingly hard. none of the other creatures are quite as random as the greeters:fuzconf:

I've noticed that they create a new kind of slig in each game...
AO=Walking
AE=Flying
MO=BigBro
ME=???

What kind do you think they will introduce in ME?

they should have female sligs in the next one.
they could be more vicious/teritorial than male sligs
or possibly ferral sligs (with the same attributes as above)

there are no female sligs (except skillya)
but yeah, maybe the slig in the pink dress...

Yeps, OWI said all Skillya's brood was male - presumably excepting the other queens that she would be producing (like bees do, I think, only queens are rare)... I wonder what happens to the infant queens...? Does Old Lady Skillya just get their necks wrung so she doesn't have to share the profits with anyone? Hm, I wonder if they're all fertile males, or if there's a small number that are fertile but the rest are just sterile, again a bit like in bees, only bee drones/workers are female, I think. Soldier bees are male... Hm, that'd tie in with another of my pet theories (the "I hate the steriods explanation" one), that big brothers are actually a different class altogether, to account for their different bone structure... *wanders off rambling*

Oh, and I think I remember Alf saying (in the same answer to the one in which he said all sligs were male) that the slig in a dress was a game host(-ess). He has to wear the dress (which must be kind of humiliating for the poor sod, although I think it's maybe on a par in the humiliation-stakes as that valet's outfit... ugh *shudders*) as there's no ladies to wear it.

Sligs would find a Slig in a dress hilarious. Just like humans find a man in a dress hilarious. Or disgusting, of course. Depends on the situation.

And besides, something on Oddworld has to represent the ridiculous Earth gameshows where people humiliate themselves.
