Xbox vs Gamecube
 

I am like the only one @ my skool who actually wants to get an Xbox... Everyone else thinks Gamecube is far superior... why? Just because it's smaller... can someone tell my why everyone h8s the Xbox... well apart from us Odd people... :P LOL, even my Dad thinks Xbox is better... he said the Gamecube looked like something you put together yourself at the Reject SHop... :) When I told one of my friends, she nearly punched me!!!!!! :) Another Gamecube addictee

People hate the XBox for many reasons. Some hate it purely because it's made by Microsoft. I hate Microsoft as much as the next PC user, but I don't think that's a justifiable reason to hate it. Most people who hate it do so in the same way that people hated the PSX when it first came out; because the company was a newbie to the world of console gaming. And let's face it, the XBox is damn ugly! Mind you, the GameCube looks like a lunchbox and the PS2 looks like some sort of cooling unit. And the DreamCast looks like what beetles would look like it they were square. And the new PSOne looks like a cake.

My advice? Don't get a Gamecube or an XBox, get a Middlesboogie-o-Matic!

You know its the complete oppisite at my school everybody hates the gamecube i hav all 3 next-gen consoles i belive the x box is the far superior 1 x box comes first then ps2 then gamecube i really dont like my gamecube i actally prefer playing my playstation games more than my game cube and i hav what people say r the best gamecube games super smash bros mele, luigi etc and they suck the x box is by far the best

For a vast number of reasons I deem the XBox far superior to any other gaming system ever made. Not that Gamecube and Playstation2 don't have good games, its just that they are going to be outdated long before the XBox is. I could write pages about what makes the XBox better but I won't because I am to lazy to.

My advice is to get an XBox and if you ever have an pro-Gamecube friend over make them watch you play Halo and show them the FMV's for Munch's Oddysee. No matter how much they ask (be sure they will) don't let them play.:fuzvamp:

Gamecube... well, oddly, I actually heed a dislike of Nintendo. I don't dislike Microsoft. Narf. But when someone (was it you, Khan?) posted the stats of X-Box / Gamecube, that still shocked me. I expected GC to be bad, but that much...? They should be ashamed of themselves. Very outdated, I agree.

Newbies to the gaming scene? Poor Sony back then! Especially since the PSX has turned to a classic. *evil smirk* I can only hope the same happens with the X-Box, just to teach the people who dislike it for no true reason a lesson. (Please, papa, can I hit them, can I, can I? *big puppy eyes*)

On another messageboard I am on (Letters To The Devil), a mostly Satanist-only place, basically everyone is pro-XBox. Not neccessarily thus anti-GC or anti-PS2, but they all agree the XBox is superior. Haven't seen anyone state otherwise there, which surprises me. But, hey, XBox deserves praise.

People who don't like Microsoft: Why do you care whether it's MS that's making the console? (yea, I know, why do I care why it's Nintendo making the gamecube? I don't know, I honestly must admit) If it's good, buy it, play it, have fun.

I think you should follow people's advice above, and get your XBOX. After 6 months, it already has 70 new game titles. Before the end ofthis year, it will have more than a hundred (and they are just the first generation of XBOX games, I can't even imagine what comes next). :)

I advise that you buy the system with the most games that you'd like to play. You like Halo? Buy the Xbox. You like Super Monkey Ball? Buy the NGC. You like MGS2? Buy the PS2.

That reminds me. I must tell a friend of mine that Halo is at 5 and MGS2 is at 10 in ELSPA's all-format chart. *mischevous grin*

At my school, I know one person with an Xbox (not including myself), several Sony fanboys and several NGC fanboys.

I chose XBOX because...

1. Oddworld.

2. Halo, Halo 2, etc.

3. Far superior, technology wise.

4. Most good PS2 games being brought to XBOX.

5. I don't like Nintendo and its image.

6. PS2 is getting old, PS3 will be out in less then a few years.

7. Many exclusive games.

8. Getting good support considering its Miicrosoft's first attempt at a game console.

9. Good futre games... Project Ego, Superman, Doom 3, Brute Force, etc.

10. XBOX RULES!!

1:PS3 is gonna come out in 2005
2: game cube has Fox, mario, link, el diablo(don't ask), pikmin, uranus, wedge, luke, and mewtwo.
3: X box has chief, munch, abe, KAIN, junks, and stuff.
4: so, In conclusion I have 3 reasons to type this and get more post thingys. Xcube 2 would be a suggestion for all the stoners who pretend they have stuff but don't.





HALO ROCKS!!!!!!!

I've got one -- it rocks! I've still got 3 or 4 fingers and one eye left, and I only get electric shocks every once in a while. The flames shooting out the back are a little disconcerting -- got to keep it away from TV and the wall. But the games . . . wow!

i would not get Xbox, Gamecube and PS2 they all will get out dated in a few years PCs stays for ever look at N64 outdated waste of money but PS2 is OK you can still run PSOne games but it does not have Oddworld

PC's are always becoming out dated, upgrading is a waste of time and money.

XBOX IS BETTER BECAUSE:

1) It looks alot better, not gay like the GC.
2) IT HAS MUNCH
3) Game Cubes games are all like for children and young kids.
4)xbox is the most powerfull and best performance gaming console ever!!!!!
5) xbox = god, gamecude = slave to XBOX :fuzsmile:

As long as X-Box doesn't start demanding we all pray to it or wander to hell as an alternative, it can be a god all it wants. I still remain my own. *grin* :devil:

My reasons to get XBOX:

1) Online PLay
2) Great game line-up now and in the future.
3) Very powerful
4) If you live in Europe, price drop.
5) Hard Drive
6) Rip CDs and play them on your favorite games
7) 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround-Sound
8) HDTV compatible

x-box beats gamecube in just about every characteristic, there was a newspaper article a while back, and it showed how superior x-box is to ps-2 and gamecube (In polygons per second, etc.).....X-box just needs to make more games with better quality like Halo...

A couple days ago, i found a GameCube booklet on the train, and it had all this stuff about the Game Cube.
One thing that it showed, was UNBELIEVABLE! The disc are only 8cm in diameter! The games are only on like mini-discs!!! YThat is sooooo cool!!!!

Now, No one else has that!

even though upgrade costs you can still play all old fravoute games on one system whereas the console will realse a new sytem eg N64-cartrdge to NGC-CDs

moy85, what you say may be true, but there's always consoles like PS1 and PS2 that are backwards compatible. :) And don't think that all games that worked with, let's say, Win3.x work with '98. Hell, I know. I tried playing Labyrinth Of Time (EA) on it, and it won't let me. First thought it was the CD, got myself a second copy - no, it's the comp. So it's certainly not always true.

yeah but in some cases you can get patch files for those situations and back to the main point at the start of the topic even thought PS2 can go back to the games the PC has a better mutiplayer options
