Whats going to happen in the End of The World?

Whats going to happen in the end of the world? I think we will be swallowed by a black hole!:fuzblink:

Vykker Sean 05-04-2002 07:30 AM

we will be invaded by aliens like on mars attacks and they have tanks that are the size of a handgun. and we will be blown apart. And glukkons come out with sligs and interns and we will all die! hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....... o.k well thats what i reckon ( i always say "reckon" ):D :D :D  :smokin:

pinkgoth2 05-04-2002 09:29 AM

Nah. I think much rather there will be no 'end'. Perhaps to the human race, but that's going to happen one way or the other if evolution isn't a big, evil fluke (which I don't think it is).

Earth is going to die in the sun's burning mass. Then after that... hmm. Ice-death of the universe (everything eventually stops working, but no "big crunch").

Heheh. There's somethings that I am just pessimistic about. Though considering I will be long gone by then, why ought it bother me? *sob* Because my name cannot be remembered in a time there is no more life? Er... *wipes tears* Um... ah... er... *murmurs* and I wanted to be immortal...

And by the way - I'd LIKE for earth to be swallowed in a black hole, really. It's a lot more spectacular.

Like Neike said, the Earth will be destroyed when the Sun goes bang-bang...

As for Humanity, there are two options, really. If we remain tied to Earth and do not overcome our problems with pollution and war and things, we will destroy ourselves many millions of years before the Sun swells up. If, on the other hand, we stop polluting and killing each other, and escape this planet, we could conceivably continue indefinately. Whether we would still be Humans once natural selection alters us to suit our new environments, however, is another matter...

If we do end up in space, I haven't a clue how we'll go extinct... I honestly can't think how, even though I know it will have to happen at some point...

BTW, having studied the theories, I believe more in the Big Crunch rather than Continual Expansion. After all, if there were little enough matter in the Universe for Continual Expansion, then Galaxies wouldn't hold together. Therefore there must be enough dark matter in the Universe for a Big Crunch...

VykerSawBones 05-04-2002 12:12 PM

i say the sun i can see when it becomes a red giant and we all fry!!!! Mwhhahahaahahahahaha

paramiteabe 05-04-2002 12:27 PM

Did you know that if earth were to be swallowed by a Black hole it would be very strange for time. For instance, if the black hole had half of the earth inside and the other half out side the people on the inside would expierence a very quick agonizing death. But the people on the out side would see everybody on the inside suddenly freeze in place as if they were frozen in time. On the inside it seems like seconds but on the outside it is more like a billion years in watching people become part of the singularity at the center of the black hole. Black holes are very strange phenomenans. What is frightening about this is that there are black holes everywhere drifting through space. It makes you wounder if earth will ever run into one. May God help us if we did!

I'm sorry, but I can't stop myself from correcting you here - people wouldn't be looking at other people doing anything in a Black Hole, because no light can escape the Event Horizon.

paramiteabe 05-04-2002 01:02 PM

I ment to say once people enter the event horizon they freeze in place. Yes you are right you can't see inside a black hole plus you can't see black holes because they are invisible.

I think the heavens will rain fire because of all the sinful homosexuals and people who wear clothes of mixed fibres!

SeaRex 05-04-2002 05:42 PM

Well, all Halo fans know for a fact that humanity will be completely wiped out by The Covenant in year 2561... duh. :stare:

But most likely all the Christians will go up to heaven, while all remaining people with other rligious/atheist beliefs will rot in putrid wave of Hell Fire and pestilence. Ta. :D

But seriously, since this isn't the end of humanity we're talking about (or are we?), it only makes since that the Earth is screwed once the sun goes all jiggidy.

Majic 05-04-2002 06:05 PM

Well said. I think by the time the sun goes kaboom we should have established space travel and living far, far away so we're not enveloped in a big huge ball of fire that destroys half the solar system. Ah, we'll all be gone by then anyways, lets just think about how mayb in the future we might not pollute and destroy everywhere we go:o

Like, suggestion. Leave Christianity alone. Then you'll meet all your friends again *snickers*

Should I take that as an insult, a threat, or a compliment? :)

Obviously you never read the previous posts. The world is going to be engulfed by the Sun in a Squillion-Billion-Million years time.

We may even die off via a disease.

Perhaps, but our absense could hardly qualify as the end of the world - an end to us, but not the world.

abe22 05-05-2002 12:12 AM

I think the Sun will engulf the Earth but the human race might be wiped out by then so no one will know.

paramiteabe 05-05-2002 03:00 AM

Yes indeed our sun will destroy us but we are more likely to be hit by a commit than any other disaster. I think this is a fact that throughout earths history earth was hit by a huge rock from space every millions years or so. I think we are over due for another collision with a big rock. You would be surprised to know how many times we come so close to a collision with a commit or an astroid. They pass earth at a few million miles of actually slamming into us. In astronomical terms thats pretty close.

And the scary thing is that astroids are constantly comeing close to us all the time. We are just one lucky planet I tell ya. Most likely it would be an astroid. The potential is really staggering.

Jacob 05-05-2002 08:43 AM

We may be hit by a meteor and human kind will have to start off all over again. Looking at our fossils and seeing how we lived and such.

Neither, nor, nor. I was just observing that a lotta people would go to hell according to Xianity, so the chances of meeting your friends there are insanely high as opposed to in heaven.

Remotely, very remotely I s'ppose it could be considered a threat, albeit not directed at you in person, but rather kind'a at everyone. *shrug!* Donn look at me like that, I wouldn't know what it comes closest to.

Well, I was joking the whole time, but just out of curiosity... Do you think everyone goes to Hell but Christians?

Off the record: I'm not atheist.

Nobody goes to Hell as it doesn't exist.

Al the Vykker 05-05-2002 08:12 PM

It all comes down to your view, whether it be biblical or not. Thats is one thing I do not agree about in the bible, it describes a hell on earth, I mean four horseman of the appocolapse, killing a third of humanity, it sounds like saint John was in a cave for a little too long. I believe in the end the Universe will collapse and everything in this lifetime will be repeated, as controversal as that sounds that is my opinion.

I do not think human existance is determined by our earth's outcome. By the time earth is dissolved away, we could be living on mars, and if not there we would move on another planet, (many outcomes with technology) The sun will expand but not all of a sudden, (gradually)..........I think humans will live forever, if they realize what is takes for them to survive (peace)

Ok, when earth gets dissolved and destroyed when the sun goes kaboom, mars is gone to(I'm actualy laughing my head off you think we'd survive on mars). On different planets, hm, well I would think they'd have to be in other solar systems. I mean, its kinda hard to live on a big ball of gas, and a place like pluto is basicly out of the question. Freezing temperatures and no light (actualy I think that we would evolve to those circumstances if we could actualy inhabit it) wouldn't be the best idea. SO like big floaty things out in space and other planets discovered that might be able to suppost life for us. And it doesnt matter how fast the sun expands... We're still all going to die. And not even peace could really save us from eventualy dying out in the future. Diseases, starvation, over population. Think, if a disease broke out in a populated area such as places in east Asia, India, etc... then kinda I think it would be spead rather quickly by people fleeing and freaking out or soemthing. Our world kinda sucks right now, we're going to kill ourselves even if its not by war. I was waiting for you to find this;)

As much as I hate to play Devil's advocate, Majic_Abe...

The sun will actually turn into a red giant long before it goes kaboom and, hence, it will slowly warm the inner planets. While Earth becomes inhospitably warm while Mars becomes comfortably warm.

paramiteabe 05-06-2002 12:26 PM

This is science fact. Our sun when it dies it will become a red giant as we all know but it won't destroy itself in a super nova. Our star is too small for that to happen. Our sun will become the red giant and engulp the entire inner solar system includeing Mars for possibly a million years. Then it will shrienk into a white dwarf or become or become a black dwarf which might turn into a black hole. Now huge giant stars they become something called a red super giant thats when you get a super nova. Our sun will just grow to a great size then shrienk and collapse on it self which in turn creates a black hole. There are different ways in which stars die. And ours will not go kaboom. It will just burn out.

To my knowledge, the solar wind would make living on Mars impossible unless you want to build bio domes that are impervious to air exchange and radiation exchange. Radiation would kill you otherwise. And the atmosphere of Mars would be blown away by the particle wind.

I'm open for corrections on the matter.
