No good deed goes on punished
In America if you build a store or shipping industry or make anything even remotely useful, you are taxed. If you have zeal and energy and want to help people by selling a service or starting a business, you are penalized by migraine inducing taxes. If you do one good thing to save your money and play it smart, you get taxed. The real reason behind the sluggish economy is all the taxation. Our forefathers revolted against King George over a tax a little less than 1 percent. Now, in america, the land of the free, citizens pay about 40,000 percent more in taxes and don't say a word. Business are taxed before they make money, while they are making it and afterwards. We cut businesses legs out from under them to pay for a bloated and inefficient government and everyone bellyaches when the Dow falls down on its knees faster than a sinner at a baptist revival. A flat 15 percent tax, hell maybe even less than that is all that is needed. Also, the government really needs to drop the useless shit from it's machine.Forced social security, housing commissions, silly hawks pushing for another 100 billion dollars for "weapons of defense" (cough, really nifty toys, cough) and useless things like the Tennesee valley authority, all of that needs to go.

DEATH TO TAXES!!!! UGH!!! They are stupid! Even those that are paid by taxpayer money(Military, Police, Fire Dept. etc) have to pay taxes! Those greedy sons of a *bleep*!

We have high taxes over here. My brother is 16. He recieved a letter with some info about "how goood taxes is". In the bottom of it stood "You have deserved to pay taxes". We nearly laughed ourselfes to death. It sounds like a punishment to me...
I don't know how high taxes we have, but I think it's one of the highest in the world... |
Well, if Bush would stop spending stupidly large amounts on "Defense", taxes wouldn't be so high...
But you still need public services. If Businesses weren't taxed, who would pay for the Buses? The NHS (does the US even have one of those?)? Education? If we didn't tax people who were making disgustingly large amounts of money (IE Corporations) that they couldn't possibly spend in six lifetimes, we'd have to tax honest people who actually need their money to stay alive... (That's what I meant, Neike, by taxing the Rich more than the Poor. The Rich can afford it...) |

Dan me boyo, you fell into that rich people don't pay a lot in taxes horsebleep didn't you. The "rich, those who make over 70 thousand dollars a year, pay a whopping 70% of all taxes. Now, lets tax those mofos more and more cause the other 90 percent of the world hates those "high" taxes. If you do a tax cut based on how much people pay you can bet your sweet ass a lawyer gets back more than a garbage collector. Although it is easier to pay a lot of money if you have a lot of money. And on the government, i will fall back on the 90 percent rule. "90 percent of all government is absolute horseshit and will never accomplish anything useful."

The only reason Tax fee's are going up is because of inflation rate, get reed of inflation and your tax fee would be much more stable. Plus your tax money goes towards your government, and everything public and local. You do benefit, without paying taxes you would'nt be able to walk on a footpath, go to malls, Public transport would cease to exist. Plus some of those tax fee's goes towards defenece, do you want to live in a country that get bombed every so often?

Taxes are needed, but the government usually does over-tax and waste a lot of money on "nothing"...How much can you do about this though?
