will Hand of Odd be on PC or Xbox or both

If it's going to be one of the next 3 games put out by OWI, it'll be exclusively Xbox. OWI signed a 4 game contract with Microsoft for exclusive Xbox rights.

don't expect anything for PC to soon

Its depends on when it is released. OWI only had a five game contract as XBOX exclusives. One of thoughs games was Munch and now they still need anuther four (or something like that anyway)...
Wether 'Hand of odd' can be realesed outside of that agreement and if they can do it after the contract expires may deside if it will be realesed on other systems. But even if OWI can release it on other systems they may also keep a version for the XBOX because it should have a large consumer community by then.

but hand of odd is like a strategy game so PC suits best for that
so OWI can release their games on other formats but 5 need to be exsculsive to Xbox so OWI should release ahnd of odd and the others on Xbox and release the quintology on PS2 PC even GC

RTS suited best for PCs? Um, that's what they said about FPS's, too, but then there's Halo...

One reason why they moved away from PS2 was that it was too hard to program for, so I doubt they'd move back.

I think it's pretty possible it woud be on Xbox.
It will be strategy but in-game, you are one of them, not like a god over them

Personally - I don't think the xbox exclusive thing was a good Idea.... If I was too get Xbox - It'd be probably be wasted $300.00 for a couple Oddworld games and maybe HALO

But still - I am OBSESSED will oddworld so it'd PrObAbly be worth it --- Maybe - but $300.00 !!!

I read somewhere that Microsoft is thinking about dropping the XBox prices soon, since so many people have just that between them and owning one. I was on the same boat as a lot of people- used to think that Microsoft was evil and that the Xbox, like every other american system, would fail. But now that I've played it, I can tell that it's simply the best console ever built, well worth the money. I peronally hope and expect for it to blow the PS2 out of the water in the longrun, as soon as the prices get more competitive, and morons with brand loyalties clogging their judgement get with the program. Viva la Xbox! May the quintology and everything else be X-clusive and X-actly as OWI wants them to be!

I think that OWI should've haited for Hand of Odd so that in 2005 they could put it on the PS3!

But I still want to see HoO soon!

yep, that are the Rumors for the PS3
And I think to do run HOO the machine needs lot of power and the only who can for a good price is the Xbox

Don't put off buying a console for 3 years just because a beter one will be around then... If thats the reson you dont want to buy a XBOX then you will end up putting off buying the PS3 as well because by then the next system to be released after that will be even better still and you will put off buying for yet anuther 3 years... And so on... And so on... untill you lose your intresst in games altogether because you had never had a chance to enjoy them...

i played the demo of halo on Xbox and the controls in my opion are rubbish but maybe i played FPSs on PC too much but i did like the N64 golden eye controls

I personaly think that the next four Oddworld games released on X Box will be Munch's Exoddus (that one is for sure), Squeek's Oddysee and Squeek's Exoddus. But I also think that they will make Hand of Odd as well as some other bonus games for X Box, outside of the contract. Lorne Lanning himself said that Munch's Oddysee barely used 50% of what the box is capable of. Just think of what future games in the Quintology will look like! Plus, now that OWI has figured out the whole 3-D thing they can spend more time on storyline, gamespeak, etc...

As for Hand of Odd, I think it will be a stratedgy game like Age of Empires or Warcraft. You will build, breed and kill things. I also think that it should have a first-person option which allows you to "become" a selected character. Supposedly it will be able to be enhanced by booster packs which will add things to the original game (as opposed to buying a Hand of Odd 2).

To be honest I hope that Oddworld makes some more games for PC. Although I am lucky enough to own an X Box, I wouldn't have been able to play Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus if they hadn't been on PC. Plus, making the games for PC will probably increase OWI popularity.

But for now all we know is that the next four games will be EXCLUSIVELY FOR XBOX.

they will do on Pc and Xbox
I will realy like that.
So the one who have an Xbox can still play and the ones who have a Pc can enjoy oddworld, too

But just think of what you would need to run the future games on the PC, you'd literally need a super computer...okay not that far but still you'd need a lot of expensive things to play it.

it's cheaper for me to buy a Xbox then upgrade my pc, so I'm happy with the choise of OWI

Buy the time OWIs Xbox contract expiers most people would have goten around to upgrading their PC to somthing powerful enuff to run Xbox quolity games (the high tech people will out there will have stuff that will be so good that just seeing it will make you want to wet your pants!!!)...
... So Oddworld games for PC and Xbox are possible, but they may also move on to bigger fish aswell like the next big console and movies. By the time all this happens they should have expanded enuff to be able to easly run the same game at different quolitys on different mechines, So their is no real reson to worry about this sorta stuff now... Latter maybe... But deffenly not now... :)

OWI like to work always on the most powerfull console, so we have to wait to see with it's.

Remember Xbox two will most likely coome out around that time or later. But I still think they should make a handheld Xbox, they have the technology to do it, not to mention the money.

nah! hand held xbox? if its powerful enough tp show FMV then maybe Oddworlds main part is the FMV when you come across a bit that you can't get across you think of what the FMV will be like which gives you the motavation to complete the game
