When do you think we will get news for Munch's Exoddus?
I am just woundering when will we get news on M.E? I wounder if Lorn Lanning has already begun writeing the story line yet? Or already has a team of artist drawing up concepts already?
I think we will get news on it prabally next fall. But I could be wrong.:fuzblink: |
Yeah, thats I was wondering...
The last I heard (which was ages ago so it could just be me) they where still working on a new ALIVE engine for ME and the rest of the quintology. With MO they spent ages making their ALIVE2 engine, but it still had the PS2 core programming in it so it was not as good as it could have been. The new engine should take as much advantage of the XBOX as possible... I hope they do some more research into gameplay... |
After the info that was released before Munch's Oddysee, I have a feeling that news regarding Munch's Exoddus wont be as abundant this time around.

But I dont think they will wonder so far off the betten track this time... Their where a lot of resons that Mo changed so much... Befor they even started the moved from PS1 to Ps2. Then durring the early production they changed again to XBOX. Offcourse this streched out the process so much that they had to change a few more things to keep up. Along the way they made a few changes to the story because it didnt work very well or something... And offcouse they could always justerfy that anything that they didnt do then they could do for ME... So yiu could expect a few hicups. |

I remember reading in one of the interviews that Lorne was showing some of what was being worked on to Sherry and what she thought was a pre-rendered movie was actual gameplay! :fuzgrin: I can't wait (well, I will wait, if it'll make the game that much better ;) ) |
I agree with Sydney, too much info too early is not so good. Its common in game development to make changes and cuts, but MO really lost a lot of the things OWI might have shown too soon. The "Electronic Entertainment Expo" is coming in May 21, around that time will definitly start hearing some information about ME. I wonder what other games OWI might show at E3?

I remember someone asking Alf what ME was about one time and all he said was-Think Gabbiar-, so my guess is that it has to do with the baby Gabbits, and I think well also get to see Sam.:fuzsmile:

I also agree with Sydney. After so many of the people here (and people who used to be here) got angry about the things that didn't make it into MO I'm sure OWI will be a little more careful about releasing information to soon. So if we don't get to see anything for a while we can blame ourselves.
As for the plot of the game, I have very few doubts that it will involve keeping the 150 baby gabbits from being caught. |

And yes, concept art has been drawn up ... in fact some time ago. I'm not saying what, but it has been done. There are different teams of people at OWI, and they are always constantly doing something. While the programming and development for Munch's Oddysee was going on, in fact the concept artists were drawing up concepts of future games. That's about all I can tell you. Abe Babe... |
Thanks mann that is all the info I want to know because your right. Information spilled out too soon can be a bad thing. I hope the information for M.E will not be as much like MO was. I mean before the game came out they practically showed almost the whole game to us. I tell ya that was a huge spoiler. But now OWI has cleared the slate clean and started new again.
Mann I tell ya this reminds me of what it's like waiting for Star Wars to open in theaters. Oddworld is just as big for me as that is.:fuzblink: |
