Microsoft vs. Mac vs. Linux

The reason this is not a poll is because many polls end up having people just click their view, and then say "I contributed", and then leave, never to return. For this topic, I want input. A lot. My goal is to beat my old Evo topic......it may be a little bit harder without Pinky around. :P

Anyways, which OS do you prefer, and why? What benefits does it have over the others? Which have you tried? Which do you own? Why is it better than the rest? Theoretically, which SHOULD work better? How big of a list can we compile of "Reasons to Hate Bill Gates"?

And NO BASHING! (Yes, caps were necessary, as in my Evo topic, I stated that quite politely and it was in vain.)

So, which is it going to be?

You seem to have revealed your own slant on this already . . . I smell an ambush.

1. Windows.
2. It uses a two-button mouse as default, it has file types,
3. I've used most versions of Windows, Mac OS 8, Mac OSX but I've never used Linux because don't know anyone with it.
4. I own Windows ME, I want XP but I can't afford it or the upgrade I need.
5. Windows.
6. Very big.

When I said "NO BASHING" I meant no yelling at each other about which OS is better. You can bash Bill Gates as much as you want, as long as it's relative and clean.

However bad Windows is, it will always be better than Mac OS.
1. More support from developers and publishers,
2. File types,
3. Easier,
4. More buttons as standard,
5. More FPSes (I'd get some if I didn't have a slow PC),
6. Et cetera.

Why would you want to try Linux? It may be more stable or whatever it is, but so what? Most games are for Win and Mac. Sad (or not) but true.

Never used Mac or Linix so I can't judge. I currently use Win ME and Win XP (I have two computers :P)

Ack!! Nononono.....Mac is built ONTOP OF UNIX! 98% of all Mac programs work on Linux, and Linux is not only twice as stable as the MS2000 OS, but it supports many of the major titles and has some extremely reliabe clones of MS Office.

That, and Linux Mandrake is only 24 bits big. Compare that to MacOS X's 14 Gigs and MSXP Pro's 15 1/2!!!!

*sigh* Bad peeps for dissin' the penguin....

Are you sure you mean bits?

24 bits = 3 bytes
